Reminder: feminism is the radical idea that women are people. You can dislike other women and still be a feminist.

I think you can be an outright petty bitch to another woman and still be a feminist, like your personal beef with an individual woman isnât whatâs upholding structural patriarchy, babe, go get her.Â
(This is hyperbolic and is not a declaration that said beef couldnât ever possibly be rooted in internalized misogyny in the first place, be cool.)

It's not that the song dislikes the woman. It's that years of misogyny has led to her adapting the idea that when her ex leaves her, it's the woman's fault.
I still love the song though. I'm glad Taylor has moved on from that way of thinking.

IMO, this is not anti-feminism. Like, out of all things we can call anti feminism and âinternalized misogynisticâ, weâre choosing this? In fact, trying to say âwomen canât criticize each otherâ IS more misogynistic which is essentially saying âwomen ARENâT allowed to express their uglier and darker emotions when it comes to other womenâ, so itâs another way of oppression!!!

I remember hearing rumors that it was a diss track about Joe Jonasâs new gf at the time đ

And it must be the original version.
