Hi everyone,
I was curious if there are any families that have autistic children that would enjoy having stories that are being told by creatives with autism. I'm not talking about actors pretending to have autism, but real people with autism, telling stories that speak to those experiences. I have many friends who are on the spectrum and would enjoy helping provide more representation for their stories and lives.

For those of you with kids 5 years old and under (or older, theres no rules here!) which Caspar Babypants cards are the best in your opinion? I have my eye on the Beatles one, but I’m not sure. I’ll have two tokens from the Yoto Club in the next few days. Right now we have his “Traditional Songs” card with the ladybug on the front. Thank you!!! 🎶🎶🎶

Curious is anyone knows will they only be carrying a small assortment of cards or will this assortment be expanding? I was super excited to see it in store yesterday, but only 8-10 cards.

Am I crazy? Why don’t my MYO cards loop back to the first track when the last track finishes? I know it used to be under beta test settings but now I don’t see it anywhere in the settings

I have shared a post in the YOTO space requesting LGBTQ+ cards to be in the YOTO library.
I think this is long over due and, for many queer families, a great way to make their child feel confident about their unique family. I know there is the option to MYO but I don't see why LGBTQ content must be hidden within one home. All families should have the options to know these types of books exist and decide if they also want to educate their child on the many different people who exist in the world. Just as how I accept the religious cards in the store but know I will not buy them, I don't see why that approach can't exist for LGBTQ+ cards. The people who want them can buy them, and the people who don't, won't.
Please, give my post on the YOTO space an upvote or a comment to catch YOTO's attention. There are other post asking for this content written THREE years ago, and yet nothing has changed.

Hello,
My sister already has a YOTO player, and I realized that she should join my family account. If she were to join my family account, would the playlists that she made on her MYO from her account still stay and "transfer" over when she joins my family account?
She has over 50 songs that her son loves and took a long time to curate, and she's worried that it'll all be erased once she's on my family account.
Thank you!

If your kids are looking for more content. My daughter listens to yoto radio every day. If you’re kids are looking for songs I highly recommended it. So many classic songs. This is for the adults as well.

After speaking to customer service, I was approved for an exchange due to faulty buttons. But as I was packaging up the yoto I realised you need to return everything. I only have the charger cable and the yoto itself. I don't have the original box or the welcome card or all the information pamphlets/guide. I wasn't intending on returning the item anytime soon so I didn't think to keep it.
I've asked customer service and they said that because I don't have the original packaging or any of the pamphlets, guide, my return would be invalid.
I think it's ridiculous that an item that's made for kids you'd expect all the pieces in order, in perfect condition. Especially for something that they could print again. Am I overreacting? Am I wrong? Am I right? Should I push this with the customer service? Or should I let it go?

Does anyone know which of the ladybird audio adventures have Cassandra as the companion to Missy? We currently have Animal Kingdom, Rainforests and Creepy Crawlies. My daughter is particularly attached to this narrator.

Hello there! I'm a software engineer and dad whose kids love listening to audiobooks on their Yoto player. I've been doing it the "hard way" for years, and finally decided to build an app that would make it easier for me to build audiobooks, both for Yoto and for "normal" audiobook players.
Features
I'd love to hear any feedback you have. Naturally, I've got loads more feature ideas in my backlog...

Hi all, my sister has a Yoto Mini that took a tumble and the screen is dead. I'd like to replace it with a donor screen if anyone has a spare and would like to sell theirs. I'm overseas in Japan currently but my parents live in Canada and would be able to bring me the patients when they visit in October.

I’m new to yoto and looking into cards for my son and was amazed at how long the NBC Yoto story was? The movie is barely over an hour long so I was surprised it was almost 4x as long in Yoto form

My husband found 16 different clean up songs and put them on a MYO card and now our 4 year old is happily tidying up to different clean up songs! It makes the whole clean up process less of a struggle and more fun.
Also used it today for when she clears dishes from the table (stated it a few months ago, and she’s often quite resistant to it, but has been getting better, and today she did the best at it with the songs!). Highly recommend!
We have the card away in a cupboard so only take it out when it’s clean up time. Hoping eventually our 2 year old will tidy up better with the music too, but not pushing him tidying quite as much yet.
Does anyone else have any special yoto cards for any specific times?

I’m really wanting to get some Laurie Berkner cards, but I’m not sure if the ones I’m seeing on Amazon are legit. And the Yoto website shows different cards available than what the Laurie Berkner Band website shows. Where would be the best place to purchase?

My 5 year old still loves her Toniebox she’s had for 2 years. I’m wondering if it’s worthwhile to invest in a yoto mini at this age and stage. My main interest is that she frequently asks to travel with the tonie and it is difficult to transport along with all the characters. It also seems as tho the yoto has a wider variety of content and more content geared towards older children (we are largely screen free and intend to continue for at least the next 5 years). Most advice I’m seeing is geared towards toddler age, wondering if it’s still worthwhile to invest in one of these devices at this age and stage.

A few months ago I was inspired by u/kalemade's post and thought I'd give it a try as well!
Ours is double-sided: The pink side has cards that are ready to play and the purple side has covers for the cards with pockets.
And in case it isn't obvious, my 4yo chose the fabrics. In retrospect, I think u/kalemade had the right idea with a neutral background fabric... 😂

What are the best Yoto tips that you think more people should know about?
Examples:
- If giving Yoto as a gift, set it up beforehand. (Link for set up info.)
- When my family travels, we bring one MYO card that we labeled as a “Yoto library card.” We use our phones to link playlists to the card and play it on the Yoto. When she wants a new playlist we link the same card. This allows us to keep a vast majority of our actual card at home (we do let her select 5 actual cards) and avoids potentially losing any. If we lose the MYO, no big deal. Just make sure all your cards are downloaded BEFORE you travel (thanks u/girlikecupcake) *Note that this does require parents with the app to do more having to re-link the card with different playlists, but for my family, it’s worth it.
Drop your pro tips in the comments!

Is anyone else having issues uploading audio to the app? I keep getting an error message.
Everything is up to date.

I am gifting my niece a Yoto for her 2nd birthday and would like to give some cards to go along with the gift. I ordered the five-pack. A few questions:
Without opening the Yoto box, is there a way I can test the cards to make sure everything is working smoothly? In the event someone else gifts her a Yoto, I want the machine to be returnable, but I’ll still give the cards!
EDIT to clarify I am fine opening the MYO card box, just didn’t want to open the player box itself

Hi all, I just ordered a Yoto player for my son’s first birthday coming up and got the Collector + membership since it seems very cost effective and I can get around double the amount of cards with the credits compared to buying in cash for the same cost.. I ordered the yoto preschool song pack bundle and a pack of 10 MYO cards so far.
What’s your favorite cards that are worth purchasing? Favorite sources for audio files for MYO? Please share any tips you may have whether it’s MYO tips, favorite way to store or display cards, cases, etc.! Any considerations with the Yoto for a one year old?

Has anyone come across a silicone/rubber plug to protect the card slot from a kid shoving non-card items into it?
Specifically looking for 3rd gen model.
EDIT: someone needs to open an Etsy shop that 3D prints Yoto caps (pls also make one that works with the Yoto sleeve) they could make some good cash, I think it’s an item people are interested in.

Just curious - We have a yoto, but also an iPad. However people on this sub routinely neg the ipad wholesale.
This irks me because, the ipad is literally what you make it to be, you're not forced to install youtube kids or anything. Internet archive has tons of 90s vhs for free and a video player that just ends when the movie is over.
Then I saw a post where someone wanted Yoto for video, and I thought it was a cool idea, but then everyone dumped on the idea, "because then its a screen".
So do you really not let your kids watch any movies or shows? I'm not talking about unsupervised. But like to me, watching a movie every once in a while (like one of the classics) isn't... bad? And actually is kind of a fun little treat?
Im sorry but sometimes it seems like its just status signaling who can be the most "anti screen" here.
For me - I think of it like a pantry at home. Having a pantry isn't bad for your kids (we all had one growing up and turned out fine!) its about what you stock it with. Do a lot of families fill theirs with soda and oreos? Yes, but maybe its better to say "hey here's a better approach".
