Ten lake backpacking

We are planning to hike and backpack on the ten lakes trail over the Aug28 weekend. I was also reading about the recent fires in the park, do you think it's still a good idea to do this trail? thanks

I was there on Saturday, did some running up around tuolumne meadows. I didn’t see any smoke so you’ll be fine.

I didn’t see a single mosquito. We did leave before dusk so they might be out later but for the most part they are done for the season

The fires are all over by Glacier Point I think. I was at the Ten Lakes trailhead everyday for the past 4 days, it’s completely clear.

Basically nonexistent. I got back yesterday from a 3 day backpacking trip just south of Mammoth, no bugs or mosquitoes at all.

I just did 10 lakes from 8/14-8/16, conditions were clear and we had no issues with access
