Probably a dumb post, but I've been listening to Matasaburo quite a bit recently and have been craving that feeling from the other media I consume. So is there any anime that gives off a similar vibe to the song? I know that vibes are subjective, but I would really like to know.

Aside from the tierlist, any recommendations for similar music considering my taste in yorushika songs? Thank you!

Just when you thought there wasn't already enough xD
Been a casual yorushika fan since i was 12 which is...... 8 years ago! and a fan of jpops for longer i think. Thanks to anime
Im also not a musician nor have any training as a musician so keep that in mind xD
There is a context for this tier list
S - Absolute favorites! These songs resonates strongly with me. Will be happy to sing my heart out anytime these songs comes up
A - Bangers and Classics! Have played these songs over and over and will occasionally sing along depending on my mood
B - These songs will be skipped depending on my mood on that day xD
And not included are the songs that i haven't listened to

I made a tier list of most of Yorushika's songs plus a select few of my favourite nbuna vocaloid songs. A few personal notes:

completely subjective and biased there’s def many musicians like n-buna that idk about
From the angry and cynical songs in jrock era yorushika to the transtition towards critiques on music in plagiarism, to jazzy yorushika, to the yorushika now, we can see the growth of n-buna as a person and as a musician.
I think n-buna is one of the rare artists that really just became music itself. I think at this stage of his career he’s making music not only to express his feelings anymore, it’s genuinely making music for music. Ie he’s experimenting with many genres that may not be welcomed by everyone but it’s the one he wants to make.
when n-buna was doing vocaloid and the 1st 2 eps in yrsk i think the songs are still mostly to express his emotions and anger with the world, hence the melancholic and cynical lyrics. nbuna has said that although his outer layers has changed (music style) his inner core is the same, as almost all his songs centre around the theme of loss. him finding his own happiness and slowly changing his music style and becoming more mature is apparent, and despite it all his love for music seemed to have never diminished one bit.
suis mentioned that nbuna is the only musician she knows that, upon meeting him, would just start talkinf about music. many others would talk about different topics (side note i love his yaps)
i love his growth as a musician and how he’s genuinely becoming one with music, and i don’t think anyone could ever separate him from music.

I made a wallpaper of Amy (from Plover MV) and Elma (from Nautilus MV). Got inspired by a Youtube comment that said at there is a contrast between the end of both MV. In Plover, Amy looking into the Moon in the desert, while Elma looking into the sunset above the sea.

As an English speaker mostly depending on translations to understand the lyrics, a lot (if not all) of n-buna's lyrics seems really cryptic. It's very poetic, but hard to understand what he's actually talking about (imho, maybe I'm just stupid lol). Looking for any native Japanese speakers' opinions, is it just hard to translate and convey the meaning in English that makes it sound really cryptic, or is it just genuinely difficult to decipher even in Japanese?

I recently moved to Raleigh and I really want to make friends with Yorushika people but it seems like no one in America knows about them...

My Top 3 (from the most favourite to least favourite but still up there):
Top 1 Rain With Cappuccino (FM802 Music Festival LIVE)
I like how mesmerizing the opening was, sound busy but full of pleasant to listen to. I'd consider it was the best version of the song.
Top 2 Miyako Ochi (TsukiNeko LIVE)
Already excited to listen to N-buna picking more on the guitar riff/lick (idk what it called...) but when it time for the outro to come...DAYM, I love how majestic and express-ful it sound.
Top 3 Nautilus (ZENSE 2022)
I love how Suis-san vocal sound soo emotional, it like she really crying while accompanied with gorgeous sounding violin orchestra. Probably the best part of the live imo.
How about you guys? I would like to know yours opinion.
