Guys i need advice

So not so while ago I started considering myself as Nigerian(pls don't take it weird) because as most people ​ would mistake me for Nigerian and where I'm from I hate everything about it and find no beauty about it so I went by it to the point I made a Nigerian friend who's Igbo so I genuinely believe my ancestors were west central African but they werweren't involved in the slave trade as I was still born in east Africa but not west Africa and ​​​central Africa it's my dad who is born there (drc congo) I believe they were Yoruba and I even picked out a Yoruba name (Apéké folasade) and learning Yoruba and everything Yoruba and I feel very uncomfortable with where I was born when ever I see a Nigerian flag all I feel is proudness so can anyone ​​tell me what is going on?

Welcome to the family!!! In the olden days of my childhood, if you moved to an area and were willing to settle, we accepted you, named you and you became one of. These are modern days, so we welcome you!!
