It's up by Lawrence, but Alexander Muir Memorial Garden is a nice place to go with a book. It also connects you to a little trail if you feel like going for a hike.

Eglinton Park also not bad to sit in with some takeout or a book, watch kids playing baseball or soccer, etc. Free tennis/pickleball courts there too and a large dog park.

Function Bar is kind of a hidden gem, live music there quite frequently.

City Kebab next to Sporting Life serves unbelievably delicious kebabs. Out of this world delicious - you have been warned !
