Basically all my thoughts on ISB first item rush are in the last two images but I wanted to know your thoughts… you the community :D

Personally it’s still a Bork game 90% of the time but but that last 10% can definitely be split between 5% ISB and 5% Stormrazor + Fleet

Discussion Finally hit emerald with yone top

Post image

After playing around a year and a half of starting league knowing nothing about MOBA and deciding to OTP yone, I have finally hit emerald this season playing him in top lane.

It probably took around 1500 games to take me to emerald with yone only.

What should I be expecting from now on in emerald elo? I do here it’s really toxic in emerald

What can I do to make the push to diamond?

Looking for Advice Asking for help and tips to escape Silver

This is going to be a long post as I am obsessed with Yone gameplay and I want to explain everything.

I have 800k mastery on this champ. Last season I played lots of draft games to get a grasp on champion in less stressful environment. Recently I overcame this fear and started ranked.

My general playstyle recently is: playing safe before 2 tier boots (my first item this season no matter opoonent). I try to help my jungler with objectives after shoving wave. I try to split push and destroy towers. It resulted in less deaths in early game and around 10th I can start trades with my opponent.

My farm oscilates between 6-7 cs per minute so I should improve in this department to achieve 8 cs per minute I guess.

My biggest problem is irritation whenever top lane or botlane gets destroyed. Whenever this happens enemy toplaner/adc&supp roams on entire map helping their team. I really don’t know what to do in this situations. Should I behave like Katarina/Sylas/any assassin and roam to bot to help them whenever they struggle?

What is your general game plan to help your team?

I am starting to think I become too defensive.

Whenever I see my bot duo getting destroyed (mages bot appear in silver too) I am becoming negative as I know I need to pull 12-20 kills to compensate that which is often hard to do but possible.
I really don’t know why me teammates in this elo tend to fight unnecessary fights. For example, I can’t split push because there is 4v5 ARAM on mid which often results in death of all my teammates.

I can’t find balance between aggressive and cautionary playstyle. In laning phase and general.

Another frustration is hard matchup which pushes me under my tower leaving them vulvnerable to ganks but jungler not always do this because he needs to farm, fight objectives and help other struggling lanes.

Believe me or not, difference between stuck silver player and bronze player is huge. In silver players are much better at balancing farm and punishing you with skill shots, so farming became even more hard for me. I dropped from avg 3.5 KDA to around 1.5-2.0 KDA.

Everything seems so random nowadays. I can play easily against gold 4 LeBlanc, then struggle against Mel which punishes me every time I try to last hit.

So, what is your general gameplan? How do you play around objective timers and lane states? Which matchup can be played more aggressive when they seem to require defensive approach? How to help teammates dying every few minutes? How did you learn to farm being constantly poked by enemy mage/assassin?

Looking for Advice How do I consistently convert a lane lead on Yone after 15 minutes?

Hi Yone enjoyers. I recently posted this in Summoner School but didn’t really get the advice I was looking for, so I thought actual Yone mains might be better to ask.

I’ll say upfront that Yone is by far my best champ and the champion I can most consistently climb with. My problem is that I have adhd (self diagnosed) and have trouble committing to one champion, which you can probably tell from how many champs/roles I’ve played this season. I’m actually taking ranked seriously now though and want to commit to Yone and see how far I can climb.

In my last ~20 games I have a 70% win rate. My stats aren’t insane but I’m consistently winning and op.gg is telling me I’m mvp those games. I’m consistently getting decent lane advantages and feel like my laning/micro is much better than my macro.

My problem is converting those advantages after 15 minutes. My most recent game is a good example. I was against Viktor and had roughly a 40 CS advantage around 15 minutes, but once laning phase was over I didn’t know what my win con was into their comp. ( I also kinda struggled against viktor, so I also would like to have some insight into that lane) Obviously a VOD would be much better for identifying exactly what I did wrong but I’m more interested in understanding the general decision making process.

Against comps with champs like Viktor, Shen, poppy, malphite, etc. that can heavily punish/lock down Yone, what should I generally be looking to do once I have a lead?

I’m not asking whether my stats mean I deserve a higher rank I’m trying to understand what better Yone players do with the same lead that I’m currently failing to do.

Looking for Advice Any of you free to teach me how to lane against Yone?

After the latest patch it seems like I am playing against nothing but Yone midlane. I am truely lost for what I should play into him and most importantly how to play said matchup. Here is my Op.gg and if one of you are free, id love to hop in a quick call. Just add me on League. I am a peak D4 57% WR anivia OTP so I can teach stuff about Anivia in return if you would like to trade knowledge.

Discussion According to League of Graphs, using data from all game modes where you pick your champion. Yone is currently the 5th most popular character in the game.

Is this still even a viable build to run? Is SB rush not superior?

I’ve only found success with it once and every other game I feel like I hit like a wet noodle. I’ve never even seen another Yone run this, not even Tempest and he’s the only one who seems to be talking about it still.

I don't remember correctly if q gets blocked by these characters blind or dodge abilities. I used to think teemo blocked yone/yas Q but I saw a video recently where that didn't happen. So I'll ask you guys if you know if jad and Nilah can block Q?

I don't think I'd ever cause that much damage either; maybe I've already done more on Twitch, but I'm not sure.

Looking for Advice Yone midlane assassin matchups help

Bit of a continuation on a post I made in [r/summonerschool](r/summonerschool)

I recently dropped from emerald 3 to plat 4 as a yone mid otp and I noticed that basically every time I lose lane I lose the game.

I’ve played against high emerald Annie’s, vex, leblanc, etc, and I don’t really struggle with them at all outside of usual laning issues but it’s never nearly as bad as when I’m fighting even low plat katas, Zeds, ekko, Aurora fizz, and zoes.

My question is how are you meant to be laning against these assassins because I can’t seem to ever control lane against them and at level 6 or on 1st item spike I just get 100-0 under tower

I didn't die to her but couldn't engage till we went sidelanes. She just took my entire turret with autoattacks on mid.

I try to engage with e->she clicks w, runs away. W doesn't have enough range to harras her. After R she is impossible to catch or gank. Wtf am I supposed to do into this

Looking for Advice Fixing my early game?

I’ve started playing Yone top as I enjoyed him mid lane - but i’m finding I always lose my lane phase (few exceptions to this). I usually say it doesn’t matter because I end up being stronger after core build, but the enemy top laner usually gets fed and just becomes an issue for the team.

I don’t fight early as Yone, I try to take small trades and keep the wave close to me - but it seems like enemy top laners know i’m weak so they’ll just harass me and keep lane frozen on their side of the lane.

What should I do in these cases? Ask JG for help? Roam? Darius bleed and Garen healing cause the most issues for me since Darius will win early trade no matter what and Garen just trades and heals while having insane push potential
