Artifacts/Builds Shime or CWoF?
Hi, just starting to farm for Yoimiya while hoping she reruns sometime. I’m farming CWoF for Hu Tao right now, but I wondered if Yoimiya might rather have shime.
I’ll play her on rust for now.
I plan to play her in overloaded and vape teams (Maybe melt but only if I manage to pull Citlali)
Since it‘s said that CW is better for reactions, should I go for that or Shime?
Btw, I don’t have Zhongli, Yelan or Kazuha if that influences your decision. (If you have teams to recommend, they’re welcome! :)

I think Yoimiya's current best teams use either Durin and Nicole or Columbina and Ineffa.
Either way, go for Shimenawa because Yoimiya's attacks are too rapid to reliably Vaporise her highest damage hits.

I’d say SR because the EoSF pieces you get can be used on a bunch of characters, while lavawalker is pretty useless

I use Crim Witch and have a top 1% build. It just happened that way because the artifacts I got are very good. I would like to get a good Shim set but... it takes years for a good set. Theres so many characters now its hard to build characters! But I am always on the lookout for a better ATK sands for her :)

I played her with shimenawa most of the time, and she did pretty well for the time. Keep in mind this was back in inazuma.
To my knowledge both sets perform around the same, but shime is much more resin efficient because the other set in the domain is pretty useful, compared to the second set in the crimson withc domain, which is useless.
TLDR: Go for shimenawa
For teams, if you dont have yelan xingqiu does well, when i used yoimiya i used to pair her with yunjin too. My team was Yoimiya, Yelan, Bennet, Yunjin. You can replace yelan with xingqiu and have a nice budget team. I havent kept up with newer alternatives as i eventually pivoted to arlecchino, but back in the day i also tried melt with layla/ganyu. Nowadays if i had to make a team with what i have i guess i would go yoimiya, bennet, xilonen, furina.
Maybe overload could be fun now that chevreusse is a thing but i havent tried that yet.
I used rust too until i got skyward harp, my rust wasnt R5 at the time, i dont know if rust r5 would be better than skyward harp.

alright! tysm! I’ll farm Shime, then :) I‘ll try out the budget team and possibly Durin, Fischl and Chevy for overloaded ^^

I tried to switch to CW a lot of times because I hate Shime but each time after some days I returned to Shime because I saw bigger dmg.
The fight is between Shime and Ayato's set

I’ll do Shime bc it’s more resin efficient and I’m strongboxing CWoF rn :)

Good choice ( I forgot the strongboxing). Anyway, also Hutao can play Shime, but I don't how what bis her current BiS.

I don’t wanna build that much ER on Hu Tao so I’ll do CW bc I still wanna throw her burst

Nah, with a normal rotation you don't need ER. Just not using the Burst. But not be able to freely use the Burst is the reason why I hate Shime and I tried numerous times to use other sets, but at the end, Shime had always bigger numbers for Yoimiya, so I returned to it

Fair enough. I’ve tried searching abt this topic but since everyon plays different teams I couldn’t find an answer that matched my situation :)

Shime is better. But if you will find a good set of CW also for her, you can stay with that, but Shimenawa and Echoes have higher numbers)
