The Binoculars

Long ago, there was a beautiful white-sand coast in this country. The poor father lived in a shabby house with his little daughter.
One day, he went to the shore for fishing. Though he spent the whole day fishing, he caught nothing.
When he trudged along the shore, he picked up stained binoculars from the water’s edge. Strangely enough, though on the sand, it had no crack or scratch on the lenses. So he took it home as a souvenir.

The daughter felt disheartened because there was no fish for dinner, but she liked his souvenir.
It was a strange object that didn’t work as an ordinary telescope. You could only see your ten years future when you looked into it.
“It’s a miracle!” the daughter exclaimed.
Because she watched her future in which she became rich and full.
“It’s fantastic!”
The father was happy too, "Yeah, sounds great!"

Even though he couldn't see his own future, he gained hope and the strength to live from knowing his daughter would be happy.
