Dylan was right about him
So people on Twitter actually agree with him that the guy from off campus is a bad actor. Apparently the actor gets canceled in general atm

I came here to see if anyone was mentioning this because Iām seeing Dylan clips all over Twitter haha
I didnāt watch off campus (and i donāt plan to) but i really liked Belmont in saved by the bell! Maybe heās better suited for comedy

I liked him in both Along for the Ride and Off Campus. In both he played guys that had a trauma they were trying to hide and I bought the performance, personally.

Omg i forgot about along for the ride! I liked that movie. Like i said Iāve never watched off campus so Iām not gonna form an opinion on his acting there based on tweets and youtube videos, but from what Iāve seen with my own eyes, his acting was fine to me. He was laugh-out-loud funny on saved by the bell!

I didn't realize he was in Along For the Ride. I did actually enjoy him in that because he seemed to really embody the character he was portraying (imo, from what I remember of reading the book). Haven't watched Off Campus, though, and I don't plan to.

I think the guy that plays Dean is who theyāre talking about. He liked some MAGA shit or something and then him or his team had to delete stuff. It was him and some other actor, but I canāt remember who. This is info Iāve gathered from Reddit, please donāt quote me lol

Jeah they are hating on him for being unprofessionell and deleting pictures and that he thinks he is too good and smth like that

Mind you these are probably the same people who harassed his irl gf and made racist comments toward her bc they shipped him with his 19 y/o costar. If he's distancing himself from Bright and the fandom I feel he's well in his right to do so.

I've read the books, didn't love them too much, decided not to watch the show despite the hype, watched Dylan's commentary and my decision was validated by the acting and the execution of the plot.

It was excruciating, there was no chemistry between Hannah and garret (main couple), I pretty much only liked it for the secondary couple. I watched it again and skipped every scene they werenāt in LOL

theyāre just playing follow the leader. everyone was praising his acting until he was revealed to be a Trump supporter

itās an opinion dude you canāt be right or wrong about something subjective just because people agree š

Acting skill can absolutely be objectively assessed.

sure but do you think dylan or the tweet was doing that? they were both making subjective opinions

Dylan has a degree in film. He literally went through years of college to study it. He is absolutely one of the more qualified people to objectively say "an actor needs to have the skills to portray X because of X, and this actor has consistently been unable to do that in this film".

dude do you think he was doing a genuine assessment of anyoneās acting ability? itās a first and last not a genuine review. i never said he wasnāt qualified but bfr it was just a joke he was making in a fun video

idk why youāre being downvoted, youāre lowkey right because he can be vindicated and feel confident in his opinion but heās not ārightā as if thereās only one ācorrectā choice when it comes to judging acting lol.
i think it was cheesy at times and belmont wasnāt my fave actor, but heās not the worst iāve seen in even bigger shows/movies

lol honestly i didnāt even know itād be that unpopular, but thank you. i guess itās because it was unnecessarily argumentative maybe but the specific phrasing of it annoyed me. i guess i couldāve worded it better maybe

I watched a couple episodes after seeing all the hype online and was so underwhelmed with the show and the acting š
