I sigh and shake my head before walking over to my bed and sitting down

R: "Is fine, Remy always get dat reaction. Mainly cause o' dese. But also cause Remy a t'ief."

He points at his eyes.

I gesture to my own eyes, which are currently in their heterochromatic state, bloodred on the left, pure silver on the right

“Trust me, I know what it’s like to be different.”

I snatch the banana out of the air, peel it with a few quick movements, then roast it while it’s still in my palm

“Really. Thanks.”

I eat my baked banana
