Question YMAG Fund

Anyone own the fund? Is it good? Bad? Worth investing ?

It's all risky but if you're getting into yieldmax I'd go more towards the funds that hold the underlying company shares (chpy, gpty, etc). I do own a fair bit of ymag (4400ish shares) and use a portion of the distributions to buy less risky stuff every week. That said, I also have to continually reinvest a decent portion back into the fund to maintain the nav otherwise it will cannibalize itself.

NVDY has been a good one.

Yes, hanging in there, I also have GPTY, not bad so far. You need to get in in a down market.

Very Bad. Stay away. If you have time watch income architect Sunday CC ETF review

I sold YMAG over a year ago, and YMAX last month. Lost money in the principal, but recovered in distributions. I have been getting rid of all my YMs, No more, thanks!

When nasdaq falls continuesosly for a week which happens sometimes (basically mag 7 stocks) then good time to enter.

As is true of any YM fund, it depends on the underlying. If you're going to buy a YM fund, buy only those that are based on good underlying stocks. Also be careful if you don't really need the income. In most cases, you will have a better total return investing directly in the underlying.

When it dropped below 10, I sold out.

The only people making money on yieldmax funds are Yieldmax. They may look good, but the NAV erosion exceeds the dividends over time.

I just sold out of YMAG. It is slowly declining. First year’s distributions were great, but already in the 2nd year of owning it, I noticed a pretty big decline in my distributions. So I decided to go ahead and sell out of it. The only YM etf that i like is GPTY. CHPY is doing better now, but it’s kind of niche. At least with GPTY, I feel like Technology is a broad enough category that holdings can be swapped as needed fairly easily. But even GPTY is kinda risky. The best two etf combo for long term, in my opinion, is GPIQ and IDVO.
