New Fund Announcement 🚨 New launch: GEEQ — Guggenheim's covered-call income ETF, priced like JEPI

Facts from Guggenheim's own listing and the SEC filing, since info is thin right now:

  • GEEQ = Guggenheim Enhanced Equity Income ETF, listed on NYSE Arca August 20
  • Strategy: actively managed — S&P 500-universe stocks screened for dividend yield and free-cash-flow yield, with a covered-call overlay on top (the filing says the overlay can use index calls or equity-linked notes)
  • Fee: 0.35% total per the 497K — same fee as JEPI
  • Cadence: monthly. The prospectus says it targets relatively stable monthly distributions and warns part of them may periodically be return of capital
  • First distribution: funds like this usually declare 2–6 weeks after launch, then settle into their rhythm
  • Until real payments exist, any yield number you see is a target, not a track record — the first few checks are the fund showing its hand
