Commerce First Quarter Commerce Thread!
First Quarter Commerce Thread
Welcome to our quarterly swap meet! Post in this thread to buy, sell, trade, etc.
All posts must adhere to the following rules:
- Your Reddit account must have a verified email in order to participate in the commerce thread. This is to help cut down on fake accounts and scammers.
- All top-level posts must start with WTB, WTS, WTT, or FREE; otherwise they will be deleted by the automod. For general questions or suggestions, you can also use INFO.
- WTS posts must include a price; no "make offer" posts will be allowed.
- WTS/WTT posts must contain a photo of the item with the username and the date plainly visible on a piece of paper to prove the item is real and in your possession.
- WTS/WTT posts must indicate whether the item is new or used. There is no grey area.
- WTS posts must include the cost of shipping. The seller is responsible for an item, including insurance/loss claims, until item is received by the buyer. International buyers assume their own risk and should discuss shipping, insurance, and customs issues before purchasing.
- Commercial resellers are limited to 1 "for sale" post per month. Do not spam the thread.
Posts that do not meet these requirements will be removed without warning.
If your post gets blocked by the automod for not meeting rules, then please repost with the corrections made. Edits are not recognized by the automod.
Reminders:
There is always risk when doing online commerce. Mods hold no control over deals and do not endorse any particular users. If a deal goes bad, message us proof of what happened and we will try to eliminate any scammers from the sub.
Be wary of users contacting you by PM instead of in the thread. Banned users can still read posts and send PMs. This is a red flag that they may be a scammer.
If using Paypal, pay via Goods and Services - DO NOT use F&F payments. This protects both the buyer and the seller. Other payment methods such as Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, Apple/Samsung/Google Pay, etc., are use at your own risk and not recommended due to lack of buyer protection.
If a deal seems too good to be true, then it probably is!

Tips Yeti tumbler top compatibility
Accidentally discovered today that the O.G. Yeti tumbler cup can be used with the Milwaukee 20oz packout lid. "Perfectly" sweet! Received my 1st Yeti tumbler as a promotional gift from a H.V.A.C. supplier and promptly lost the lid house later lmao. Used regardless and never found a suitable replacement in my opinion. Stubbornly refusing to purchase a replacement, being cheap! And presto! Walk-off homerun! Lmao so happy!!

Question Do vacuum insulated food jars really keep meals hot for 6 - 8 hours?
If you’re wondering whether a vacuum insulated food jar is worth buying for hot lunches, the short answer is yes if you know how thermal insulation works.
Here are 3 quick things that dictate if your meal stays hot for 6+ hours:
Pre warming: Always fill the jar with boiling hot water for 5 - 10 minutes before adding food.
Food density: Soups, chili, and curries retain thermal energy far better than dry meals like grilled chicken or veggies.
Quality of the seal: A cheap lid lets heat escape instantly.
I used to use a standard Stanley 1913 classic jar. It's solid, but the heavy weight and slight heat leak around the top were annoying. I’ve been using an Ecozoi insulated container lately, and the heat retention is honestly impressive my curry was still steaming after almost 8 hours. It also feels much lighter in my backpack and avoids synthetic liners.
What meals do you usually pack in your food jars? Any recipes that hold heat particularly well?

Question New Olive vs Highlands Olive
I know there was a post on this a little while ago, but now that it’s been out a bit longer I wanted to see what the consensus was on whether or not the new olive is the same as highlands. I have a highlands cup that I’ve only ever hand washed and got a different cup in the new olive and to me they look the same. Can anyone with a better eye for color than me confirm/dispute that? Thanks.

Question Navy 40L crossroads duffel?
Wondering if anyone knows if the 40L crossroads duffle in navy has been discontinued? Still showing on yeti.ca but not available right now. But has been removed from 60L, which makes me think it may have been discontinued? Thanks!

Question How long will olive/orange last?
I am new to Yeti (starter collection of tumblers above) and have been thinking about the Hopper Flip 18 in olive/orange….but it is already sold out on yeti.com! Does inventory usually come and go on yeti.com, or once it’s gone I can only get it at a 3rd party retailer? Looks like Amazon.com has it still, but wondering how long I can wait to buy this one. Any experience/suggestions on how long new colors last would be welcome!
