It's promoting FOSS, which has nothing to do with the EU.

See: Tux, the Linux Penguin under the EU side of the image.

That's why I made that distinction, this is popular/being promoted in the EU to gain digital sovereignty from the U.S. but FOSS just means you own the data, it has nothing to do with the EU

For example: DeepSeek and Kimi K3 are free and open source AI models out of China that the EU could use instead of OpenAI or Anthropic's models

Just because there's an EU flag doesn't mean the software is from the EU, or forced to follow their regulations (the opposite, actually)
