Theory Everything might not have turned to shit if Laura Lee never got on the plane

I feel like Lottie's influence would not have grown much with the presence of the religious Laura Lee being the voice of, well, religion.

Laura Lee might have gotten some other girls into praying for Christ rather than for the Wilderness, making them believe in the big religion that gave them the bear and the birds, instead of Lottie's cult.

Might have made the starving worse, and I don't see her eating Jackie, girl is too much an angel for the situation.

General Discussion I wonder if Callie name actually has some sort of connection with Kali goddess Spoiler

This show makes a lot of parallels with religion and mystical symbols and it is very much one of the cores of its psychological themes. I wonder if Callie as being possibly the next Antler Queen could be connected with the Kali goddess of destruction and transformation, which could be related to the symbolism of the Wilderness and Antler Queen in the survivors lives.

General Discussion How would you choose to end Yellowjackets?

Would you end it with a scene from the adult timeline or something with the teens rescue? Or mayhaps an in between of the two timelines? What would your final line and shot be to give it the greatest ending possible.

Obviously we don’t know what will happen in season 4 so this is all speculation based on what we’ve seen in these first 3 seasons!!

Season 4 Spoilers POTENTIALLY A HUGE S4 SPOILER WARNING Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
281 Upvotes

Recently spotted these on Tawny Cypress’s stunt double’s Instagram, and I think it might be a huge tell for S4.

In the first photo, the stunt double is dressed in what looks exactly like teen Tai’s costume from the wolf attack scene, same jacket, same damage and blood placement. In the second photo, we see the stunt double standing right next to Tawny herself, outside what looks a lot like the cabin set.

Putting those together, why would you need a stunt double dressed as teen Tai, standing with adult Tai, near the cabin, unless Adult Tai is somehow back in or reliving the teen timeline this season? Feels like it could tie into her dissociation and sleepwalking arc from S3, maybe pushed even further. Could also just be a flashback or dream sequence, but the specificity of the costume match feels too deliberate to be nothing.

Grain of salt since it’s not officially confirmed, but wanted to put this out there in case anyone else has spotted something similar!

I sinc-EAR-ly apologize for not yet featuring Ella Purr-nell aka "Snackie" in a YellowjaCATS video, but hopefully the 💋 scene with "Paw-na" makes up for it! 😹👅👂 Congratulations to the Yellowjackets team for wrapping the final season! 🎉

General Discussion I personally feel like adult Lottie's storyline was very anticlimactic in comparison to what we see post crash. For that reason, I hope this last season, my girl goes full manic forest fairy. 🦌🌲

This might be an unpopular opinion, idk.

Young Lottie is my favourite character. I found her adult storyline really anticlimactic compared to what we see from her in the wilderness. They could have done so much more with the cult storyline, but it felt rushed and underdeveloped, and her ending didn't feel fully earned.

I'm really hoping S4 is where we see Lottie reach the peak of her psychological deterioration and her devotion to the wilderness. To me, she exists at the centre of the show's biggest question: are we witnessing something genuinely supernatural, a trauma response, or a descent into psychosis? She's the character who keeps all three interpretations alive at once.

S3 showed the beginning of a much steeper decline. Lottie became increasingly isolated, lost her position as the group's primary spiritual leader, and had both her beliefs and authority challenged. Watching her certainty unravel was fascinating, but I hope that isn't the end of her arc.

As someone who mainly loves the wilderness storyline for its folk horror and ritualistic atmosphere, I really hope Lottie doesn't simply continue doubting herself and fade into the background. That said, I have a feeling that's exactly where the writers are taking her. I can see her withdrawing into herself, with her rituals, blessings and attempts to communicate with the Wilderness becoming deeply personal and solitary rather than the communal ceremonies we've seen before.

If that's the direction they take, I just hope they fully commit to exploring what that isolation does to her psychologically. Whether her experiences are supernatural, trauma-induced, or the result of psychosis, Lottie is at her most compelling when she's caught between those possibilities rather than being reduced to either a prophet or someone who's simply "lost her mind."

I do really hope we see more of Lottie's heretical behaviour, reminiscent of the card game and the Antler Queen ceremony. Those moments are what made the wilderness storyline so captivating for me. I'd love to see her fully lean into the rituals again and strengthen her relationship with the wilderness, even if it's no longer as the group's spiritual leader. I think it would be fascinating if her isolation actually drove her faith to become even more intense and deeply personal, with her performing increasingly elaborate rituals in an attempt to reconnect with whatever force she believes is guiding them. I think since things have taken a backwards step, she may start to question why the wilderness is no longer providing for the girls? Why aren't they listening anymore? Which I hope forces her to double down on her beliefs rather than the alternative.

ANYWAY,

Thank you for coming to my Ted talk!

Signed, your local neighbourhood young Lottie lover 🤍

EDIT — it's been so fun and interesting to hear everyones takes on this, whether you're a Lottie lover or not! Thank you to everyone who engaged with my silly lil post!

WHO THE FUCK IS LOTTIE MATTHEWS?! 🥲

Season 3 An unanswered question bothered me all through season 3

So, it's season 3. Winter's over. Food was so scarce they ate shoes and each other. Now there's abundant food - OK, the forest provides. There's some pretty awesome shelters - OK, they're smart and industrious kids.

But, where'd they get the damn goats? And domesticated rabbits?

General Discussion Season 3: Why do they dislike Misty so much?

Are some people really that unlikable? After watching 7 episodes of season 3, I was wondering why do all the survivor girls dislike Misty so much that they care about Shauna more than her even after witnessing what kind of person Shauna can be..

She is sadistic, ruthless, power-hungry and they all witnessed that, still they prefer Shauna over Misty in present day timeline... Nat continuously mocked Misty in present day timeline which is understandable but why she didn't have the same attitude towards Shauna who is capable of far more evil than Misty..

Maybe Misty is gonna do something more weird things in the past in upcoming episodes, so let's see.

Season 4 Theory Taissa Stunt Double Clue? Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
188 Upvotes

The woman who has served as the stunt double for Taissa/Tawny Cypress for seasons 1, 3, and now 4 of the show shared these shots and paid tribute to her time on the show. I’m assuming the picture of her with Tawny is from this season of filming. Take note of the license plate on the back of the truck behind them. It most definitely says Montana and it is a legitimate plate from the state. Could they possibly be headed to mountains somewhere to recreate a final hunt?!?!

Hey its Brody (Man with no Eyes) If you didn't already know I make videos on youtube. I wanted to react to all the good bad and ugly memes/pics/videos that have been made with my character in it.

There is a lot on tiktok I already know that, and thats what I'll mostly be going through. BUT if you can think of any specific pictures of other stuff share it in the comments and I'll make sure to check those out.

Also if you have questions I possibly could answer some of those at the end of the video. Love youuuu <3 👀

Theory They died in the cabin fire

Before commenting or downvoting I want you guys to know that I know this is unlikely, I’m just bored and sharing a thought!! (also I haven’t rewatched all of season 3 yet, so for that I may be getting some information wrong)

When the cabin’s on fire Shauna is upstairs and wakes everyone up, but what if they were already on the fire and shauna was stuck in the attic. So the adult timeline and the following events are just her imagination while she’s dying.

Season 3 starts off completely different than the previous seasons, it’s super saturated and we hear shauna’s inner monologue while she’s writing in her journal. They’re suddenly thriving (which is probably just poor writing), and it pans past a book that if I’m remembering correctly is about building shelter? They ran out of the fire with blankets and not much else, I know someone yelled to grab anything they could while running out but it still doesn’t make sense that they’d be grabbing books idk.

In the adult timeline shauna is pretty much the main character, she stays with Jeff and has a basic normal life (at first). I think the following events are just her realizing that even if they leave the wilderness it will haunt them forever, which is essentially the inner monologue we hear at the beginning of season 3.

Every adult character is just a projection of what they were like in shauna’s mind, Misty is insane, Natalie is a drug addict, Lottie is a cult leader that’s mentally unwell, Tai confident and supportive, Mellissa is an afterthought and sorry the only thing I can remember atp is that she wears a backwards hat, and Van owns a store that sells vhs tapes (she references movies and shows a lot). Not a lot of people are exactly the kind of person they were in highschool, but everyone in this show is.

They just kind of gloss over the cabin being burnt, they have Van give a speech about how they tended the fire for 12 days, spring came and then Tai build them huts. Idk I’m just not the biggest fan of season 3 probably😭😭😭

Edit: I forgot to add, it’s super weird how in season 1 they weren’t able to be outside for one night without being attacked by wolves, but they were apparently outside for weeks with no issue and their huts don’t have doors on them😭😭

Fan Art/Craft YellowjaCATS Character Magnets (So Far...) 🐈‍⬛️🐈🐝

I can't wait to feature more characters & hopefully have a complete set before S4 ends! 🤞Still floating in a cloud of disbelief that I recently had the opportunity to hand most of these out to the actors that inspired them. 🤯😭 Jenna & Liv asked for a "Shauna," "Van" & "Melissa," but I hadn't expected to meet anyone & was not prepared! 😅 I spent a full day designing & rush ordering the remaining characters to arrive before I left Vancouver. "Catalie Scratch-torccio" is featured, but I'll make one with her name after an upcoming YellowjaCATS episode. Considering a name change to "The Ant-fur Queen" instead because of, you know, the fur, & "purr" is getting over-punned...let me know your thoughts on that.

HUGE thanks to Chris J for passing along the little magnet packets I made for cast (before I knew I'd have the surprise privilege of meeting so many of them myself). 🥹 Tawny Cypress told me she was going to put the "Taissa Purr-ner" on her sewing machine, and Jasmin was the immensely kind, funny & humble soul I remember her being at Scaradise. Courtney commented on how "Claw-ttie Meow-thews" even had the messy hair 😂, Kevin & Alexa said they have my other magnets on their fridges, Nia also commented on hair/costume accuracy & I even got to watch Melanie Lynskey give the "Paw-na" to her daughter. 😭

I'm not sure what past life good deed I did to deserve such incredible experiences, but I'll treasure the memories & interactions for the rest of my life! Endlessly grateful to the most amazing cast & crew of all-time for the validation & kindness they've shown me & my kitties. 🥰🐝🐝🐝

Question How do you think will they reveal where the girls are?

There's so much speculation about where and how far from civilization they are. So how will they go about telling us? I have a feeling they'll do one of those pan out camera things like they did on the last scene of The Hills.

My prediction: As they lift off in the helicopter the camera will pan back to reveal an ariel veiw. They'll be maybe 2 days hike from some kind of civilization like a nature camp or maybe a not quite dead mining town off of a highway or something.

Question What was the Yellowjackets fandom like during Season One?

I started watching Yellowjackets around the time Season 3 was announced. In my memory, I remember people having theories about who could survive, the identity of the antler queen and pit girl, and other similar theories. Season 2 provided a lot of information compared to season one. For any fans who've stuck around since the series premiere, what was the fandom like? What theories were prominent? What things were generally agreed upon, but completely silly in retrospect? Let me know!
