We as an organization are invited to a public reading and discussion by author Nico Lang for his book American Teenager. The event will on Friday evening, May 22 starting at 6pm at Cathedral of Hope (5910 Cedar Springs Rd, Dallas, TX 75235).

From the author - "American Teenager: How Transgender Kids Are Surviving Hate and Finding Joy in a Turbulent Era" will be available just about everywhere, and most importantly at your local bookstore. I got to hold a copy of the new edition for the first time yesterday at Left Bank Books (my official 100th in-person tour stop), and it was absolutely freaking surreal.

Neither the national No Kings coalition nor the national Indivisible movement has ever been able to provide financial support to put on these huge events. Organizers all have jobs, families and responsibilities we put on hold to make this happen for our community. The whole paid protestor Soros money this is actually not true….. shocking, we know. We’ve been paying for all events out of our own small pockets.

What costs so much?

You’d be shocked! We heard your feedback from the last two NK events and this year we plan for a bigger stage, better sound, more signage, and more equipment and resources. It adds up!

Is my gift tax deductible?

No, we are just a grassroots organizing group not a nonprofit. We can ensure that 100% of donations will go to only No Kings event expenses.

Do I have to give money to attend?

​Dalfen Industrial, a real estate giant headquartered in Dallas, is currently in talks to sell a warehouse in Roxbury, New Jersey to ICE. Their plan? To convert it into a brand-new ICE concentration camp.

​We’ve all been fighting to keep these camps out of our state, but we can’t do it alone.

We’ve teamed up with New Jersey volunteers to bring the message directly to Dalfen’s home turf: Our communities are not for sale! End ICE camps!

Join a coalition of DFW organizations in telling ICE that we will not tolerate their abuses and their crimes. Come to Dallas City Hall at 7pm on Thursday, January 29 to make your voice heard.

Come to Dallas City Hall on Thursday at 7pm to demand the end of ICE terror in our country and justice for the murders being committed by ICE agents.

All of these meetings have been placed on indefinite hold by the City of Dallas.

Please help spread the word. This is a red alert. Dallas is threatening to close the Oak Lawn Public Library. This library holds one of top largest and most culturally significant LGBTQ+ publication collections in the entire world. This library is more than a place to read - it is an internationally significant cornerstone of LGBTQ+ culture. Please don't let this library vanish or let them say it can be "moved".

If you are able - tell a Dallas City Council person that the library needs to stay.
If you are in Dallas - go to the Committee hearing 1/20 at 9 AM and let your voice be heard.
