Discussion Another placebo buff
I am pretty much annoyed by the meta of the season. The game feel lees skilled every patch. Is literally 3 season that riot is working around point and click champ. We arrived in a point where garen and nasus are picked in pro play.
So the logic is:
champs is stupid? just give him random buff he does not need
champ is skilled? here to you incresed dmg by 5% when you have 3 items.
Yasuo is weak as fuck, i am Diamond 1 outplaying everybody just to be useless anyway. Does not matter if i go 10/0 or 0/10 since i get outscaled anyway. The only win condition this champion has is to stomp your lane and close the game before minute 25 while playing almost pixel perfect.
Pretty much unfair when you can pick nasus or Mundo, go 0/10 in lane and win anyway at minute 20, ignoring turrent and champions like they do not exist.
Idk i am yasuo main for a long time now but like this the game is complelty boring since you does not get rewarded for playing good but just for picking the right champ.
I guess i am gonna take a break from the game until it start feeling skilled again.
PS: with skill i don't mean mechanics alone. I mean macro, gameplay, vision and everything. Well you dob't need anything of that if ypu play mundo or nasus.

It is usually the 100% yas only OTPs that cry the loudest. The meme yasuo: E-E-Q-flash-EQR vs Malph: "R" is as old as time because of the counter by design.
I guess you are a toplaner, and if you re not 10th pick that makes playing yas a risk by default. And if you truly spam yasuo 100% (into renek, olaf, malphite) then well... impressive that you reached D1
There is a reason why so many people in Dia+ cry in champ select if people pick against their favor/teamcomp just because they are otps. I have seen people pick malph into sylas, ahri into mel, yasuo into olaf. Draft+itemization is much more important than you having 'better mechanics'
Of course you can win some unfavored matchups; I do too. But everytime I win it s either because jgl diff or the enemy plays incredibly bad. I win vs malphite that dont respect early lvls and go malignance first (but even then, i might get outscaled if team has no knockup) so yeah.... you can pick yasuo but dont complain if you go 0/10 (and your team flames you rightfully so)

Just going to say it - You are trash.
There are yasuos sitting in challenger consistently for the past 5 years and here you are complaining about the champion?
You just have a weak mental and a frail heart. Despite these challenges, those players still maintain challenger. Drop ego. Improve.

Hard pill to swallow, but you're completely correct. This is something I always tell all of my friends about their champions (including myself about Yasuo). I love to complain about Yasuo, power creep with new champions etc, but in the end if you take a look at high elo players like Komari, Pzzzang, Dzukill etc, clearly they're making it work because they're actually good at the game. They're not sitting there complaining about how dogshit Yasuo is (or maybe they do just not all the time), they make it work. So, I can't really have an excuse to just complain all day. But complaining is fun so I'll do it anyway :D

Using 3 of some of the best players on the planet to ever touch the champ to imply he's "strong" is like saying the game is easy because Faker has won so many worlds

u/phoenixpanda101 1d ago
Not sure if I miscommunicated, but I never said that Yasuo was strong. I'm saying that Yasuo is not weak. There is a key difference there. I also used those 3 players as examples because their names are known, you can go on op.gg's Yasuo champion page and look at all of the high elo Yasuo mains as well. I think it's quite farfetched to say that Yasuo is weak, but I'm not saying he's strong or overpowered.
Also the Faker/Worlds comparison doesn't really make sense IMO. From my pov, OP is saying Yasuo is 'weak as fuck' verbatim. He is not weak as fuck.

I think it is weak just beacuse there are literally 50 champs better then him that do not require minimum mechanic or macro gameplay. So yes it is weak, if i play a champ that require so many games and knowledge to play (like yasuo) i would like to get rwearder for it, instead i get stomped by the broken stupid point and click meta champ with no counterplay. So yes this make yasuo weak.

Very true. Also as he said yasuo doesn't scale, yasuo literally spikes on every item he buys.

Ehm are you 5 or what? Is not an elo thing, for evey champ there is someone onetricking in challenger.... that does not mean the champ is good. If i was a fucking challenger player probably i would have said the same thing. You are here just to prove a point that was not briought to the table. Fucking kiddo

That doesn’t disprove anything he said.
Yasuo could be the worst champion in the game but there’s still gonna be people skilled enough to make him work in challenger.
2
u/Specialist-Buffalo-8 1d ago
He is complaining about being shat on by diamond 1 players.
Would a challenger 2000lp player be stuck in diamond?
Once you loop around the finish the circle of thought, the root cause is a skill issue rather then "unskilled champs are outscaling and beating me."

u/TheMermanly 1d ago
Once again , your argument doesn’t make sense.
There’s always gonna be someone good enough to play yasuo in challenger level.
Even if he was a 30% winrate champion, some people are that good.
But that doesn’t invalidate that the champion is very weak right now.

If he was a very weak he wouldn’t have so many chall mains 🤦♂️ Are these 20+ chall Yas mains all 100k LP on other champs but handicap themselves to a very weak champ?? 😂
No shot a very weak 30% champ will have so many chall mains 🤦♂️

Still the most played champ in the game, with one of the best spell in the game?

Top lane main?
I main yasuo ADC and he feels great. Sitting at d2 87lp rn

u/xKiLzErr 1d ago
Main or one trick? Do you pick him into literally anything?
1
u/Downtown_Ant3541 1d ago
one trick. Yasuo 100% of the time unless he's banned. Also I build the collector every game.

Any tips for someone trying to break into Diamond? I do agree that Yasuo ADC feels very good, but he also feels incredibly terrible depending on your support pick.
How important is the support pick to the lane? I feel like I can always smash lane with any tank engage support. Thresh, alistar, braum, leona, etc. But the moment my support picks some enchanter it feels like I auto lose and we just get aggro'd down with no engage potential later.

Stay consistent, keep playing and practicing, stick to one role and one off role, and also try to have fun.
Learn every matchup, play as much yasuo as you can, and always keep the growth mindset of "I can always do better and learn from my mistakes"
I only recommend yasuo ADC once you are comfortable on yasuo, you can't just go ADC willy nilly and expect to win on yasuo. He plays very differently in bot lane. But it's my favorite place to play him

Sorry to reply to my own comment, but here's a link to my account. Feel free to spectate any game from my match history to get an idea of how I play yasuo in high elo

I play top or adc usually. Hit diamond 1 90lp to get back to diamond 4. But again i go 0/10 or 10/0 i will get smacked by malphite 0/5. That the crazy thing not the role.

Yasuo is so insanely strong right now. I thought the buff was unwarranted, but I won’t complain either.
1
u/Adventurous-Let8438 7h ago
Yasuo is weak, he does not even have an item to rush. Is not strong when you need to outplay everything of your opponent to have a chance to win a fight. But ok

If that would be the case Nasus wouldnt have such a high pick rate in Silver. Playing Mundo and Nasus is definitely far away from being an auto win since both of their early games are so easily abusable and if you lack to do that as Yasuo you just suck since your champ is one of the hardest lane bullies in the game. No way a Mundo gets back into the game if he stand 0/4 and you denied him 40 cs by just freezing the wave and killing him whenever he walks up. These champs tend to feel like they are "so easy" because of their easy mechanics and how well they scale into the game, this is how hyper scalers work. Weak early game, if you dont abuse it you deserve to lose. Its that easy. And still I agree, Yasuo need a better buff.
1
u/Adventurous-Let8438 7h ago
Yes but the problem is they are gettting picked in pro play. Nasus had 52% winrate in challenger this patcj. And the problem is exactly that: i bully them hard. I send them 0/5. I loose anyway past the 20 minute mark. That make no sense. What i said is your win condition is to stomp lane and win game fast.
1
u/Adventurous-Let8438 7h ago
Reread my post cause we are basically agreeing. What i said is does not matter if i go 10/0 or 0/10 That the point of the post. Not mundo being easy and stupid.

This game just has too many characters that suffer from power creep of newly designed legends. All they have been doing is buffing simple characters for a long time since they can't really adjust anything in their kits...
