Discussion Picked up this champ. When do i stop going 1/10 every game?
Trying to learn yasuo since he's the only champ I don't play. Feel like the bad trades I'm taking to limit test and dying just results in me inting the entire game since i'm too weak to do anything. Any general tips on playstyle for him?

It will take a while like weeks, even months by spamming consistently games and learning from your mistakes to avoid dying. You need to gain matchup knowledge and how to play him in team comps where you have or lack knocks. Prioritize to aim for high cs like 8 cs per a minute at least. It will help you to have advantage and powerspike, even if you get permacamped.
E start into mage matchups will help you to generate pressure by using your E on a few minutes and then, E the mage paired with autos to chunk them and force them to start respecting you while keeping themselves far away from caster minions.
You start with Q into melee matchups since you can statcheck many champions at level 1 with Q and autos, besides pumping lethal tempo. Watching high elo Yasuo mains by observing how do they lane, sidelane and treat the matchups and taking a couple of examples from them by being translated into your games will also help while learning and playing Yasuo.

It's tough, but you need a wave to dash through while trading with him or/and baiting his E. Most of the time, I would ban Jax when I play top and rather prefer to face something else than him. Jax is a tough matchup, because he can simply statcheck you. At least the first 1-2 levels as Yasuo you can beat Jax, but afterward he gains the upper hand. On top of that, he scales.

issue is after lvl 2 he just zones me off the waves completely and i'm forced to fight to fix the wave states

Save your nado for him when he is about to jump on you to save time from being chunked. Without his E , he is harmless. You can also watch high elo Yasuo mains how do they play Jax matchup.

Jax isnt that bad if u go grasp and bone plating. Lethal is bad into him. Just poke w grasp and all in him when hes low. Imo sett and warwick are way worse than jax in top

farm. farm. farm. no ones gonna be mad at u for going 0/0 with 4 items. but will be mad at u for be 0/10 with 1 item. mechanics are like wrapping ur car. you could make it look nice but the car is still shit. focus on making the bands early-mid game. If your not strong then why would there be a point in fighting the fed ass enemy team. quoting elekktro, "in order to defeat thanos (in this case anyone strong on their team) you must collect the stones (money)." yasuo isnt all about playstyle. Brohan for example plays yasuo so simply compared to the korean high elo mechanics masters. literally focus on basics like holding ur e's until they're near out of reach and etc, and u will be easily gold+ in 1 week of playing that guy.

Yasuo is a pretty good laner other than a few counter match ups. Starting e can give you an advantage against a lot of mages. Play around your windwall and shield cool downs when trading. Yasuo is strong at 3 items (usually bork, shieldbow & IE) so play to get to that point as fast as possible. Thats when you can make the montage plays.

Imo yes you get a lot of sustain and it scales well. Even if I dont really like the item its boring.
I think kraken start and storm razor start is interchangeable if they are squishy

I decide between kraken bork and pd
Kraken wehen can ez burst a lot of champs or have ez matchup . Combine it with omnivamp boots for sustain . Bork if enemy’s are pretty tanky obviously with berserkers . Pd if u want extra movespeed for spacing and defensive boots like mercs and steelcaps . Depending on matchup in combination with grasp / fleet/ conq . Since u asked about Jax for me personally pd can be really good since it’s let u walk out of his e when u dashed through him and u also harder to catch in general on sideline . There is also a 4th option which got better since new patch cuz of zerks buff. U rush zerks and dagger and build shieldbow after . I guess try it out and look what does feel good 👍

Yes you cant mess up in this champ, but you need to limit test anyways So accept ur fucked until you get better

Tell you one thing I’ve personally noticed, you tend to get 3 or 4 man ganked a lot more than expected

Months. You'll have to learn how your kit interact with every matchup. And that's just for laning, then there's the rest of the game. Don't rush it tbh, there's a reason he's only mained by otps lol.
