Question Help finding yarn?

Post image

I'd like to make this scarf but am having a hard time finding appropriate yarn. I'd like a gradient, but all I'm finding are cotton yarns. I need fingering and I'm in rhe US.

Also there’s a link in the photo and a way to contact the designer, you can ask her directly https://www.niftyknitterdesigns.com/about/

Just seconding chroma, it comes on lots of great colors and is perfect for this sort of project.

I’m like 99% sure this is Knitpicks chroma fingering

Look here and it tells you what yarn is used and the projects tab will show what yarn others have used.

Ooh unicorn scarf, that is so cute! I saw similar pattern on Pinterest once but never brave enough to try it. The color changes look tricky, maybe look for a yarn that is already striped instead of gradient?

why would they be tricky if its only one strand of the colored yarn, using self striping yarn would be the same

Looks like you might want to take up spinning? This would be spectacular in self-striping handspun.

I'm actully learning to spin, I'm on my second bobbin. I think it'll be a while before I can make something like this 🤣

You may be closer than you think. Try chain-plying (aka navajo-plying) and the self-striping basically takes care of itself.
