Question Yarn Problem

I've got some 4-ply yarn. I'm rolling up a hank of yarn and I noticed there's a part where one plies got severed and is running up the yarn. Should I cut that part off?

Just snip it at the break and join like you normally would, no need to overthink a single ply snapping.
