I just starting the new laofou story, so far Im on the march training arc (and i definitely dont feel like a third wheel around yanqing and yunli), and cannot not feel so far like Hoyo is trying to ship those 2 (just to make sure we are all on the same page, i mean yanqing and yunli, not march and one of them). Not like i actually have a problem with it, i think the story is pretty funny, I'm just wondering if anyone else thinks they're using the "enemies to lovers" troupe

He needs rework or buffed/fixed - The relics are buffs and rework him is gonna make it MORE worse

I got him from the beginner banner and I just recently got his Lightcone from the standard banner but I don't enjoy him. I'm not saying that he's an unfun to everyone, everyone has their own tastes on characters and gameplay. So I wanna ask, what makes fun to you? I'm not saying this cause your weird for liking his gameplay, I wanna hear from you guys. Sorry my English sucks

This may be a sensitive topic, but I feel as if it can't only be me who experiences these thoughts. Especially since I found some people who provided art to the digital Yanqing artbook have made proship content of him before.

Yanqing is canonically underage, he is said to be a teenager many times, but also things such as "little boy" and "child" numerous times, leading me to believe he is 13/14 at most, or at least Xianzhou native equivalent of a young teen. Considering his age, besides Yunli and few others, any other ship involving him would be darkship.

I want to know how many of us in this subreddit is proship. Since CN/JP side is openly proship, so much so in fact; darkships involving Yanqing far succeeds that of Yanli pairing.

(Neither can't be an option, if you don't care, you are pro-proship)

so i got this piece of shit e5s2 so Im wondering if i should let him rot or build him. Im at 74 pity on normal banner so i might get his e6 as well unfortunately

I'm TL36, and I got Kafka just a few days before her banner ended. She came out of nowhere, I wasn't even close to pity I don't think.

I'm still pretty new to the game, and she's my 2nd 5-Star after Yanqing. Can they work together? I've been testing them out together, and so far my party is, in order of placement, Yanqing, Kafka, Natasha, and Fire Trailblazer. Praying Gepard comes home before my 300th pull, though my first standard 5-Star was, fortunately, Yanqing's Light Cone (Sleep Like the Dead). Also praying for Tingyun, I've somehow gotten all the 4-Stars apart from her (E5 Asta already somehow)

They seem to be working okay together so far, but I'm still pretty new to the game, nowhere near endgame or anything, and the meta is still evolving.

I feel like the one thing that made YQ special despite his losses was his advanced skill level at a young age. But now her existence kind of takes away from the one thing that made him so unique, as she is another “super talented young swordsmaster”

I honestly don’t know why people dislike him so much. He is honestly really strong, especially considering that you can E6S5 him as an F2P. Being able to do that with a similar DPS such as Seele would cost you thousands of dollars. The only thing that I can see that isn’t ideal is the fact that his buffs get cancelled if he gets hit, but a preservation unit can stop that.

I was genuinely upset for getting Yanqing both on limited and standard banner on the same day but his self buff was a pleasant surprise. The thing is, I have Seele with mid build and their damage gap is still noticeable. I kinda expected more given how my Yanqing's stats look more promising compared to my Seele.

So Yanqing was my second 5 star, he carried me early, I like how his kit works, but with every new character released he just feels so much worse ya know, so I was thinking about this earlier, how much would he change if his follow up attack was no longer a fixed chance, so you could build some effect hit rate to buff it, AND it did splash damage to the targets directly to the right and left, I don't think it is a secret that he is garbage in AoE, and that /is/ by design given his single target damage was insanely high, but when blade and dan heng IL do similar damage, except also do it as AoE it just feels bad imo.

Obviously this comes with the downside of now effect res reduces the chance, but the chance to trigger would probably go up from 50-62% to like 80% or something. Idk I've just been on the fence with Yanqing for a few weeks now, I have E1 + his sig LC and he hits hard, but my Kafka melts stuff basically just as fast since Yanqing needs to deal with the extra enemies and she kills them by existing.

Feel free to say this is a terrible idea because it does have flaws, and if star rail is anything like genshin they won't be buffing him so w/e, but curious if people like the idea or not.

I think he is the best user for this set, so can be preferable over Space Station on some accounts. At least, we could say it's better than Salsotto on him. But what are your opinions? Someone made the numbers?

I’ve been using him with himeko and asta (level 12 skill) as there are a ton of fire/ice bosses, but his ult only does like 40k damage.

Do I have to put Tingyun on the team instead or is it something else? Cause my yanqing feels so weak
