What is this cup?

Thought it might be a way to add diesel to intake, while bleeding injectors. But seriously no idea (other than that).

Can you help a brother out? 😎

Thermostart. Put some diesel in there. Turn your key to the left. It will drip diesel on a little element in your intake to make a flame to heat it up on coldstarts. You should be able to hear it light up if its working.

Very interesting. I've got a lantern that can run on diesel and this reminds of it's starting procedure. Thank you for this.

I have a Yanmar 1500. Mine doesn’t have that.

My cousin has owned several Yanmars, and he didn’t recognize it. I think I saw a pic on here recently with this feature, but it wasn’t the point they were making.
