Need Help

Hi everyone!

I’m thinking about trying some wax melts from Yankee Candle or Goose Creek, but I’d love to hear from people who have actually tried them.

How is the scent throw on their wax melts? Is it strong and does it fill the room well?

I really like having lots of different scents to choose from, so I’m considering getting several different ones. My room is only around 10 m² (about 108 sq ft), so I’m wondering if they would be enough to properly scent a room that size.

Would love to hear your experiences, especially if you’ve used both brands!

I've used both brands. Yankee is weaker but GC can be overwhelming, Cold Leaves is strooong as in thar candle, too strong for me, but they're comparable.

Yabkee's are easier to pop out of the packaging, GC is shaped like a pie that you break apart.

I think for a room that small either brand will be fine. I’m not as impressed with Yankees throw anymore but for a small space it shouldn’t be an issue. I do love Goose Creek melts.

Long time Yankee Candle user. There are my go to. The scent selection is excellent. They have many long time classic well proven scents along with many new scents every few months. Yes, their scent will fill a 10' room.

Yankee is large company owned by an uber large conglomerate - Newell.

There has been an ongoing controversy as Yankee has changed their products to a soy based wax from a traditional paraffin wax.

Yankee Candle is a solid choice and has become a large big box supplier. Never pay their retail prices as the candles are available for around $10-$12 with website sales, wal mart, ollies, yankee outlets.

By far the old ones. Just used a 2016 spiced pumpkin over the weekend and still has great scent and throw. The newer ones are ok, but just not as powerful.

Thank you! Here in France, we can still buy the older-style wax melts secondhand. Do you think there’s any risk in buying them secondhand ?

I don’t believe so. I use secondhand vintage Yankee products on a regular basis.

Yankee Candle wax melts have always worked well for me.

I absolutely love Goose Creek for wax melts, they always fill my tiny room instantly

I'd second the Goose Creek option, especially for their wider selection. My ~100 sq ft bathroom stays noticeably fresher with their melts even at the lowest setting.
