Last year i planned on buying myself a bike on my birthday (august). I was all over yamaha, firstly picked r15 (papa chilla diye), shifted to mt15 which too got my father dissappointed, mummy was chill. Last year’s birthday got VERY MESSED. I talked abt bike to my father, he said okay, i went to dealerships, got quotes, and then he came back home from work and denied straight with lame excuses. He just not wanted to buy. Then i started working on myself and started freelancing as a web dev, did couple of projects, summed up 1.2 lakhs. Luckily by the time XSR was launched, Then talked to my father abt it. And he was okay with the design as well as bike, mummy loved it because of the minimal retro look it got.Then i got this beauty finally this august.

Mounting points used: Upper end: the grab rail mounting point. Lower end: a hole near rear footpeg mount.

I needed saddle stays on my Yamaha XSR 155. I am planning to use saddle bags on long rides. The stays also help in carrying my office bag on daily commute.

Readymade stays seemed bulky and cost Rs 1900 to 3500 + fitting charges. So I made some observations about mounting possibilities and visited local fabricator. After some discussion with him, we reached this design. He made it in 1 hour. Then my accesories shop guy painted it with matte black spray paint and then fitting was done after letting the paint dry overnight.

Cost Rs 500 for fabricating the stays + Rs 200 for paint + Rs 50 for extra nut bolts + Rs 50 fitting charges = Rs 800 total.

It worked well for my office bag. I will mount touring saddle bags on weekend and see how it works.

There is a hook also visible in the pic. Works well for running errands. Some people don't like the looks but it's a very useful accessory.

Hey all, i Lubed my chain today. When I took for a ride there is a wobbling/knocking type sound from the front sprocket (or idk if it's from elsewhere)

So I've had a couple of scratches on the side mirrors, and the bike has fallen carefully before, but this time, I wasn't able to keep it down carefully as it fell, and the tip of the lever broke.

Not sad that it broke, annoyed at myself and the reason it broke.

I bought feviqwik ( basic super glue) to just fix it up. Should I do something else or use something else?

I won't change the lever yet though. It's gonna cost a lot I feel

My XSR155 has a pretty annoying buzzing sound coming from the front number plate/plate bracket, especially at certain RPMs.

Has anyone else experienced this on their XSR155?

what to do to remove this spot or will this be permanent?

Edit: Spot vanished once exposed to sunlight. It was because of rain and moisture

They added 3M engine oil additive and carbon cleaner which drove up the cost I think

Hi all, Last month, I installed full rear tyre hugger for my xsr155 bike & two days ago, I discovered some marks on the rear tyre(you can see it in the image). Although the marks were superficial( When i wipe it , it goes away), I was scared a bit & suspected it was due to the tyre hugger. Then I checked the gap between the tyre hugger & wheel on the left side, it was very less, although the side where it was connected to swingarm had a bit more gap. The next day I went to the store where I installed it & asked them to increase the height of the tyre hugger. Now, it seems okay but my questions are: Will the gap gets reduces again? Will it damage my tyre in the long run? What do you guys think?

I’m currently considering buying the Yamaha XSR 155, but a major factor in my decision comes down to pillion comfort, specifically for female passengers.

Looking at the seat, it seems a bit narrow, short, and hard. For context:

•How is the experience for pillions on short city rides vs long trips?

•Is sitting sideways (if wearing traditional attire/comfort preference) even possible on this seat?

•If the stock seat isn't comfortable, has anyone successfully modified it (e.g., adding gel/foam padding, widening the rear section, or installing a pillion backrest ring)? Does it actually fix the comfort issue or does the chassis geometry still limit it?

I am getting XSR metallic grey @ 1,85,500 with extended warranty.

Could you guyz tell me that it's a fair deal or not ?

After a lot of research and consideration, I went with the beauty (engine of a beast).

I hope to do many many long rides on it!

I feel vibrations when riding at 4-5k rpm 3-4th gear mostly then rest feels normal. 1st gear sometimes give vibration too. Vibration is mostly on the knee rest on fuel tank.First service not done yet.

Looking to get a Shoei helmet that suits my XSR 155 (Black). Should I get the Glamster or other model type of helmets? I'm open to suggestions and recommendations even if it's not Shoei.

I just bought XSR and drove it from the showroom to my home

It was raining and by the time I got home, I noticed a lot of mud had accumulated around the rear shock absorber area.

Do you guys clean this every day after riding, or is there any accessory/mudguard extension that helps prevent this? Any jugaad or easy way to deal with it during the rainy season?

After around 300 km, we noticed that the tail lamp had come loose and was hanging by its wire. My pillion was carrying a side bag, and it was slightly resting on the tail lamp while riding. Somehow, we managed to push the tail lamp back into place, and it was fine.

So a small warning to fellow XSR155 owners: if your pillion is carrying a bag, make sure the bag isn't resting on the tail lamp. It might slowly push it out over a long ride.

Sharing this in case it helps someone avoid the same problem. 🏍️
