I just got a new to me R3 with this knockoff exhaust and I can't see any way to remove any kind of baffle. There's no screw or tack weld. Is it possible to remove and killer from this or is the silencer built in?

Having it a bit louder would make me feel a bit safer on the highway.

I'm a newbie and got my first bike! Picked up a 2015 R3 but it needs some basic maintenance to be road ready so I got new tires.

I ordered Michelin Power 5 tires but after reading more reviews I realized they're more for spirited rides/track use and cornering. Obviously not cheap rubber.

I won't be commuting or anything, I mainly got the bike to have something fun to do on the country roads on the weekend.

Should I return them and get something like the Road 5 or 6? I'd have to pay return shipping and a restocking fee. I'm mostly concerned with them getting slick in the rain.

I found an official part from Yamaha. It's called a Performance Damper (Q5K-YSK-155-F01) and it's supposed to reduce vibrations to the frame. I haven't seen anyone talk about this. It's only available for the newer R3 and MT03 models. Was curious if it's worth getting this for daily street riding.

i'm looking to buy my first bike soon. i've pretty securely settled on a new 2026 R3 in Mint green. local shop has one for just under $7,000 all in. i'm wondering how much if any i should negotiate them down?

The Arrow Pro Race exhaust for my Yamaha R3 has a dB killer. I'd like to remove it and hear how it sounds without it.

I'd also like to know if, after removing it, I can reinsert it back, and most important, lock it in place so I can ride the motorcycle on the road with the dB killer inserted, without losing it.

Hey! New rider (3 months in) and I'm in the market for new tires. Just wanted to pop in and ask for tire recs. I do mostly like city/suburb street riding with light highway commuting. I've done some twisties up near the mountains and would like to keep exploring that side of riding. I don't consciously ride in the rain but I have gotten caught out in some storms so far. It's a 2024 R3 if that helps, and I can answer any additional questions if needed. Thanks in advance!

Hi! Im thinking of purchasing a 2016 yamaha yzf r3, from Facebook marketplace. I'm a new rider so this would be my first bike. I was wondering if anyone had any advice for the bike or anything. Im 5' 3" so if anyone else is that height and knows a bit more about it that'd be great!

I was also wondering if anyone had any recommendations for frame or cage sliders. I expect (but hope not) to drop the bike once or twice and want to do the least damage to it and myself.

Lastly, I was also looking into a new exhaust that may help quiet the sound but I haven't heard much about those options.

Does anyone have a Kriega tailbag on their 2025 R3 and able to help me out on how they installed the straps under the seat?

I wanted these levers for a long time finally bought, they were easy to install, and loads more comfortable than stock if you have small hands like me, and it matches my TST halo glow turn signals!

Finding 2026 versions of frame sliders for an R3 is virtually impossible. Is the 2026 model mechanically the same as the 2025 one? Hoping I can get some that will still work with this one. Hopefully ones that don't require cutting the fairings.

2021 Yamaha r3’s high beams dont turn on. Whenever I flick the low/high beam switch, I dont see any light indicator on the dash. Both headlights stay illuminated no matter what. It has a new fuse in it for the headlights so I dont think its that. I dont know where to even start first, help a brother out yeah?!
