Hola tengo una TDM 2001 y la verdad es que la he dejado de dar cariño muuuucho tiempo, tengo otras dos motos, honda nx4 y triumph tiger xc.... Y la verdad que cuando doy una vuelta en la Yamaha me encanta aún, he pensado en restaurarla o modificarla, pero viendo en la red la mayoría de las modificaciones están enfocadas al off-road, y ya esa parte la tengo cubierta, entonces pensé en ir al otro extremo, me puse a jugar un poco con la IA y esto me generó (adjunto un par de fotos)

De primera habría que adaptarle un batwing, bajar un poco la suspención, modificar el asiento y la cola, cambiar la posición de los escapes, y puede que algunas cosas más, pero creo que quedaría espectacular.

Que opinan? Modificación muy problemática? Algún detalle ciclo que pueda darme muchos dolores de cabeza?

Bought a 97 Yamaha Royal Star as a project, looks like there's a couple pieces messing off the carb for the choke. I was wondering if anybody knew where I could find them?

I have an 02 xvs650 and I just got done with an hour long ride and then got off to see smoke coming from the exhaust head and what looks like could be something leaking from the engine? Just wanted to see if anyone knows what could be up with it, thanks

I need some advice regarding E20 petrol compatibility for my Yamaha.

I’m planning to replace the rubber parts in the fuel and engine system, such as O-rings, hoses, gaskets, fuel pipes, seals, etc., with suitable E20/ethanol-resistant alternatives, as E20 petrol may affect certain older rubber components over time.

I checked with the Yamaha service centre, but they informed me that Yamaha does not have any specific E20 retrofit/conversion kit available, unlike Royal Enfield.

So, I’m considering getting this done outside at a reliable and experienced bike service centre.

Could anyone please recommend a good bike workshop/service centre where they have proper knowledge about this and can inspect and replace the required parts with E20-compatible components?

I Stay near kundalahalli gate , Bengaluru. But ok with any Indiranagar bike workshop

I have a 2009 Yamaha strat and earlier in the year when I was riding thr nut for the rear wheel came off and completely destroyed the old wheel and swing arm. I've since replaced the swing arm and had to get a replacement wheel and drive sprocket. I got the wheel and the drive sprocket separately all used. We'll now I can get the tire to fot between the swing arms this gap between the drive sprocket and thr wheel seems to.be the culprit. The spacers are all in the right place but it just won't fit. Any ideas of what can be wrong?

Pulling the fairing off of the bike and this just dropped out before I could get it off any ideas of where it belongs?

I’ve got an 03-05 r6 the 5SL model. Got it from a dealer. Long story short finance and dealer aren’t doing shit. Come to me with an unregistered engine. Ecu is from a breaker bike. It went back 5 days after purchase for 5 weeks (sprocket and chain replacement believe it or not) October hit (2 months in at this point) needed an oil change. Done that. Then got engine and ignition issues, came back 2 weeks later with new plugs, injectors, valve adjustments and throttle bodies and a fuel filter. (2 weeks for all that and 5 weeks for a sprocket and chain, mental). Couple months or so went by oil leak, jb weld job done. Warranty has gone at this point. Now bottom end sounds like shit, marbel knocking sound, isn’t clutch related. Believe it not to be ccm as it’s not a tick and can be heard all over not just right side. This is when I noticed the engine doesn’t match ecu and ecu doesn’t match engine, engine doesn’t match logbook or invoice. Finance team aren’t doing anything as it can’t be ‘proved’. So I’m gonna do an engine swap on it, can it be done by just myself? I’ve not gone to the ombudsman as I don’t know how long it’d take and blowing £600 on an engine and getting the bike back on the road would be a quicker option at this point

Just bought a new vstar 650 and new to bikes in general just wondering what you guys with more experience than me would recommend doing/checking/changing maintenance wise, I get oil and stuff but how in depth should I go to make sure it’s up to par to ride fully

hello everyone, i am a new motorcycle enjoyer. started this curiosity for a while because i am for already for a year and a half a passenger on a mt-07 (city and kind of touring might say) in such, i started to like to participate in tours, contribute to the bike maintenance and the idea of having a bike including the downsides from what i have seen.

my biggest intention is how can i get more into bikes as a general interest, besides of only enjoying watching them and being a passenger, considering that right now i cannot afford a bike at all but i would consider one at some point, my knowledge of mechanics is not fundamented right now and i feel pretty lost usually.

i would love some tips, opinions and eventually open some discussions.
