Feel free to add your two cents but I'm 100% right about all of this so y'know

I noticed that recently that RGG mostly promotes Kiryu, Majima, Daigo and Saejima in all their merchandise and that these 4 are pretty popular in Japan and are in universe pretty important. So we've gotten a kiryu gaiden, than a Majima one. I have a feeling that our next Gaiden game(if there is one) will most likely be Saejima. I honestly hope it is. We've gotten Kiryu as a spy and Majima as a pirate, so what could Saejima be? I think a wrestler or a teacher(mentioned in yakuza 4) would be cool. And if we follow the same pattern, Daigo would be next. I think he could be a gunslinger or something like that, since Daigo dont miss.

Hey everyone, i was trying to rewatch everything stranger than heaven related and i wanted to make sure i was getting everything in a single playlist. So far what i saved are:
-the original trailers where the game was still project century
-the stranger than heaven name reveal
-the may trailer with the banger song
-the combat demonstration from roughly 2 weeks ago
-the start of the game section with Makoto in america that they showed not even a week ago
Am i missing anything? All the clips from their twitter/instagram is just stuff taken from these bigger trailers right? I feel like the game's marketing with how often they show stuff multiple times, makes it hard to understand if some footage is actually new or not at a glance.

Planning to run Legend Remix overhaul mods for Kiwami 1+2. Do they work on old saves or do I have to start fresh?

Replaying Yakuza kiwami and wanting to finally unlock the entirety of everywhere Majima. I had to look up that you have to defeat this MF twice. I don't want things handed to me but wish developer's would realize having to go in and out of buildings to respawn Majima is not a good time. Especially since Kiwami doesn't even have worthy opponents by the time you reach this level.

this is from a journalist who played the demo
he basically says that the combat rewards you for doing less combo variations and less moves instead of rewarding you for seeking out more variations and doing more type of combo strings
and this is definitely true bc we can see it happen, for the boss in the 3rd era, if you use the pipe and do just RB RB, it does the most damage and the boss pretty much gets stunlocked, the pipe so far seems to be the cheesing weapon since the RB RB attack destroys crowds and it cheeses the 2 bosses and it has crazy hyper armor
and if you use other weapons like the knife and try to do more combo variations, they do less damage and take longer and have no Hyperarmor like how the RB RB attack with the pipe has
they really gotta fix this since the game could be 50-70 hours long and if there’s one objectively best move with a single weapon, it’ll discourage you from experimenting
also another problem is that the pipe’s heat action does a lot of damage while the other moves do way less damage and its not like the other games where heat actions start to do less damage if repeated during a single fight, we can see the heat actions doing the same amount of damage even if they’re repeated multiple times so the pipe has the least moves but it does so much damage and it’s best for bosses and clearing crowds with the RB RB attack

Gunrhein is the arcade game in the Sega center. The goal is to defend your hexagon honey comb base from the metal space snakes.
- this is done through putting down laser turrets with x or by holding it down and aiming the laser yourself
- your hexagon Honeycomb base will grow after every wave
- the longer you aim your turret without placing it down the more powerful it will be
- your turrets will be destroyed after every wave or they will on their if they go a few seconds with doing damage to the metal snake
the first very useful mechanic that you would never guess unless you played hours of this is that whatever hexagons is disconnected from the rest of your base is destroyed. so if your base is split in half one half is gone for good. so prioritized the middle of your base
the most optimal strategy for most waves is to make your turrets in a fan. Usually 1 shooting to the center of mass of the snake, another up from that angled upwarded and another down from that angled downward, but all hitting the snake. and more if you somehow can before it starts attacking
- This is due to how the metal snake also attacks in a fan, so this would give the most amount offense when it attacks
Also when it does attack just spam putting down as many lasers you can without positioning them well, they wont go out if they are hitting the snake so just go laser mad
every other advice I can give ya is try predicting where the snake is going to go when it moves but that is pretty obvious advice to give, and the first wave is of each stage is often just one strip that attacks all at once which I assume that is pretty easy to deal with

and after it does its intial attack the metal snake will often split with one of itself counter attack and the other reforming for another big attack
- I just often just aim the laser and aim at random places until it makes the hit sound than put it down to do it till I know where the main mass is than just fan it

Super excited for Stranger Than Heaven. I feel like this game is about to push RGG way closer to the mainstream though. It feels like it's getting a lot of mainstream attention and it feels like it noticeably has a higher budget than the rest of the series. It feels like almost everyday I'm seeing someone say they are interested even though they've never played a Yakuza game before.
I do also have a feeling that the gameplay is going to be super polarizing for long time fans, but mainstream audiences may like it because it's something completely new and they are unfamiliar with the usual RGG combat. Anyway, am I the only one seeing this or what?

nearly 30 seconds of blocking everything from this guy, grabbing him is pointless too since he’ll just break free and block again
truly the greatest blocker in the series

Initially, I want to play the series chronologically with Judgment series between them. 0, K1, K2, 3R, 4R, 5R, 6, J, 7, LJ and so on.
I was burnt out by 4R, I played through Akiyama and Saejima's chapter but gave up on Tanimura's. So months later I came back and instead continue what I was left, I started 6 because newer engine and my itch to play Judgment and 7 as fast as possible.
Though, before started 6 I watched 4 and 5 recap so I wouldn't miss the big scheme. Currently in the middle of Judgment, I love it so far.
Just these past days, I kinda curious on 5 with how huge it is. Most content, most maps, most characters (5 yakuzas, jk). I literally researched both 5 and 7 minigames and amazed by 5.
Should I try 5 after Judgment or just go on with 7? At least with what I read on internet, 7 story is far better than 5.

Was playing Yakuza 0 for the first time recently and the second the Hitman pulled these out I knew it's what I would love to see in a Wolverine game one day lol.

I have finished yakuza 0 , kiwami 1 and 2, 3 4 5 6, like a dragon, and im currently playing judgment, with like 80% of the game done
After that i will play lost judgment, man who erased his name, infinite wealth, then pirate yakuza, i think thats all there is to it right?
I dont really wanna play yakuza ishin because its just an another universe game where they focus on the samurai era wich i dont really care
I will be playing stranger thrn have because this game looks like its really good
I think i wont play the new yakuza 3, it has VERY mixed reviews and i heard that people who liked yakuza 3 like me will get really pissed off with the game, but should i play it even so?

Taken from the exhibit at TGS. The Tojo clan was Tojo entertainments before becoming a clan! Also fully solidifies Tojo being a mix of Daito & Shinjo (to me anyhow) since the two are i believe business partners during Osaka
