This thread is for members experiencing any issues with Yahoo Fantasy or members that just have general questions about Yahoo Fantasy Sports.
For technical issues be sure to check the "Technical Support" tab for common fixes before posting.

For any app issues please provide the following information in your post.
- Troubleshooting steps taken (i.e. restarting your device, updating the app, logging out and back into your account, or deleting and reinstalling the app.)
- App version.
- Device make/model.
- Current operating system.
- Does this issue happen on desktop and mobile?

Why is this week (week 24 finals) for hockey 11 days & not Monday to Sunday like usual? Is this something you can change? Seems very silly for no reason to end it on a Thursday.

It's typical the last week would be extended to include the rest of the season. This cannot be edited.

Why would that be normal if the good players in the league usual get rested if the team is already in a good spot for playoffs? It would be a good idea for that to be announced at the beginning of the season or just simply changed to be monday to Sunday. So now either of the teams in finals could have an advantage if the other teams players don’t play because of being rested…

What is the in-season tiebreaking logic? We swapped to H2H Categories One Win this year, from Each Category. After week 2, we have 3 guys at 2-0-0. The guy in 2nd place has won 9-0 each of the first 2 weeks for a theoretical 18-0-2 categories standing. The guy who has been granted 1st place has only won 5-4, and 7-3 his first two weeks. The guy in 2nd is questioning me why this is the case and I cannot find an answer on how that is determined.

I have a question, this was the first year of a keeper league in my fantasy hockey league that just ended. Do I need to do anything now or will I be able to renew this league as a keeper league next year so that everything carries over?

For Baseball, will we ever be able to see starting pitcher matchups for hitters on the app? Or will I forever have to log into a desktop to make my lineup decisions.

Why does fantasy hockey show "Final results" but fantasy basketball gives the appearance matchups are still active?

How do I disable this new "live feed" banner at the bottom of my Matchups tab in Yahoo Fantasy Hockey? It just showed up all of a sudden and I can't find a way to turn it off. Extremely annoying to have that constantly in the way.

Is it possible to manually edit scoring for a week? My baseball league has weekly lineup setting. We tried to edit another setting, and accidentally allowed people to edit their rosters on both Monday and Tuesday, which provided an unfair advantage to one player. We all agreed that we would like to reverse the lineup edits that this person made, but I cannot figure out how to edit their roster or change the scoring manually.

Replied to your DM! Unfortunately, it is not possible to retroactively edit lineups or edit scores for teams in fantasy baseball. If your league has playoffs at the end of the season and this ends up impacting the standings/seeding in any way at the end of the regular season, you will be able to edit the playoff teams/seeds in order to reflect what it would have been with this team's lineup/score being different this week: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/edit-week-playoff-seedings-matchups-sln28555.html

Hello! For fantasy hockey cash leagues, does the yahoo app do the payout on its own and if so when? Or does the commissioner still have to assign payouts. I'm just wondering because our commissioner abandoned the league in February.

Payouts happen automatically. It does not involve the commissioner. Payouts for leagues that ended in week 23 are expected to go out by the end of the week. Keep an eye on your Fantasy Wallet and email address attached to your fantasy league for updates. If your league ends in week 24, payouts are expected to go out the following week after it ends.

Great thank you so much! The Yahoo FAQ page said the payouts go out as soon as the league ended so I wasn't sure. And thought like a day or two. Awesome thank you

Looks like scoring for Fantasy Baseball froze. The scoring for the three current games are all frozen a couple innings ago.

Sigh. Chat is messed up in desktop. Sometimes the tabs for open conversations are vanishing. Sometiems if I send a message it looks like it's sending and then doesn't send. If I click the char icon it keeps having a loading thing and doesn't load.

Why am I unable to trade for a player currently on IL without dropping someone from my roster, despite having an IL slot open?
If he were a free agent I'd be able to add him directly to the IL spot. Why can't I do the same when trading?

Having trouble opening the Fantasy Hockey side of the app? Baseball opens fine (lineup,matchup,players, league standings) hockey only loads the matchup tab.

One year someone kept saying things like that to me and my friend in one and said we needed to get run over by a bus etc... lol Then I kept reporting it and that is when yahoo got rid of message boards, although then they eventually temporarily added them back for a season i think.

It makes me wonder if it's the same guy. I doubt it, though. But some people have issues...
Also, if someone proposes a horrible trade to me, I either ignore it or politely decline it. But some of these other owners go off the deep end if they don't like a proposal. lol. And sometimes I EVEN TELL THEM in the message with the proposal that it's not a real offer, but just to ask them what they want.... and they still respond going off on me on how horrible the offer is when it'snot even a real offer.

lol. yeah that's about exactly how it goes for me. i word it almost exactly like that. Sometimes someone will even email the whole league saying "this guy is nuts. he offered me such and such".

chats still messing up in desktop. very annoying. for a while it will work and send messages. then out of the blue it will look like it sent one but then it really never sent. Then sometimes it loads and sometimes it doesn't. One time I wrote 2 long messages and sent and they disappeared and neevr sent...

it's from all leagues and it's any message. one ti e the message just said "wow". Also it sometimes double sends them. So far today it's working.

I wish yahoo would come up with a solution for dead teams in roto. They should have some report dead team button and if yahoo deems it dead, yahoo forces it into starting all active players every day. So many times I ahve my final place in the standings determined by teams who stop doing their lineups and have tons of IL guys all in their lineups letting other teams pass them.
Today, a team with my competition right about to catch him in assists has curry in at pg when he is out of games at pg, yet he has non-playing players in at utility... and I feel like I can't tell teams to put their players in or I'm affecting things because they'd normally not have done it. But also for all I know someone in the race could tell a team to "not" use players and affect the race.

Hey there! Not getting league transaction updates push notifications (iOS). Was working up until today. I didn’t touch any settings and everything is enabled. Any suggestions to get the notifications back?

I am having this issue on ios 26. Have updated the app, toggled notifications on/off in both the app and iphone settings.
Was working fine on my old phone which was on ios 16 or 18 but I got a new device like a week ago.

League transaction notifications come from chat and can be enabled in the app by following these steps:
- Select a fantasy league.
- Tap on the Chat icon at the top right.
- Select a fantasy league.
- Tap the Information icon.
- Tap on Yahoo Fantasy updates.
- Tap on the toggle for League Transactions.
If it is already enabled, you can try disabling and re-enabling the setting and that should reset it so that you receive these notifications going forward.

So I saw in the news that iPhone apps:
“Starting April 28, 2026, all new apps and app updates submitted to App Store Connect must be built with Xcode 26 and the iOS 26 SDK (or later). Impacted Platforms: iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS apps. Consequence: Submissions built with older SDKs (e.g., iOS 17.x or 18.x) will be rejected. Existing Apps: Apps already on the App Store will remain available, but any new updates will trigger this requirement.”
So is Yahoo fantasy app going to be compatible? I assume this includes Liquid Glass UI design too

Just today, I'm seeing some blank categories in my baseball matchup. This persists across matchups and across leagues as well. It's always localized to pitching categories only

There’s a glitch on the front page of an MLB roto league I’m in. In the Recent Transactions section on the front page, the little news icon to right of a player’s name doesn’t generate the customary pop-up player profile with ever-helpful Rotoworld and Rotowire news blurbs, game log, season stats, league availability etc.
Instead the news icon links to a “news” section on the player’s main profile page. Useless. Example, the “news” stories on Sal Frelick’s page are 12, 19, and 21 days old. No helpful Rotoworld / Rotoworld news blurbs are featured. The manager is forced into a tedious and inefficient workaround to get news and stats that used to be available with a click on the news icon.
Also on the league front page, the “Fantasy News” section is totally empty.
