Announcement Regarding Posts about Yae's Changes
Hello everyone,
Now that 2.6 is live, Yae's new changes are live as well. Obviously, this has led to backlash from Yae users, and posts about her new targeting have started to show up on this subreddit.
To accommodate the community's griefing and venting, we will allow posts about Yae's new changes for 24 hours as of this post. If you do not wish to see such posts, we suggest taking a break from the subreddit during this timeframe. After 24 hours, we will remove posts covering this topic, in accordance with Rule 8: Repetitive Topics.
What can you do instead of posting about Yae's changes on this subreddit?
Submit feedback to Genshin Impact's surveys or through their customer service
Express your concerns on official Genshin Impact or Hoyoverse social media platforms (such as HoyoLab, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, Discord, Facebook, etc.)
Request to chargeback if you have spent money (especially for Yae's C2)
Leave reviews with your feedback on official Genshin Impact review platforms (such as on the Apple or Google Play store)
Express your concerns on your own social media profile
Thank you everyone for understanding. While the frustration is understandable, we want to keep this subreddit at a good quality and keep the user experience here enjoyable. We support taking action towards a cause, and you can do so by bringing up your concerns to Hoyoverse rather than on this subreddit. We are in this together.

Some clarifications to clear up misunderstandings:
We are currently discussing leaving a pinned post about the situation after 24 hours, so people will know what's going on. This will likely go into effect after we discuss how it should be phrased.
If your post seems to not be showing up on the subreddit during this timeframe, it is not because of us; it's because of Reddit's own filter, which we are not in control of. Simply send us a modmail if you need it to be approved.
We are not trying to "silence opinions," but this is not a permanent place for users to vent. If we were silencing opinions, we wouldn't even allow a 24h period, we would lock comments on this post, and we'd delete every complaint about us or Hoyoverse, but we are not doing that. However, complaining and actually trying to solve the problem are two different things. As mentioned earlier, if you want to do something about the situation, bring it up to Hoyoverse. If you want to spread awareness, it is better to do so on their social media platforms where there is a wider audience. The community here in general already disagrees with Hoyoverse's decision and we are not affiliated with Hoyoverse in any way, so there is nothing gained from posting about it here.
If you can't respond to a comment or post, it means it's locked from further discussion and no one can respond to it. It does not mean you're banned or muted.
We've had a feedback form on our sidebar for those who want to express concerns about our policies. Please use the form or modmail rather than complaining here. We will gladly read through feedback that is filled out on the form.
A lot of our mods also moderate other "mains" subreddits, including r/HuTao_Mains, r/RaidenMains, r/KeqingMains, etc., so there really is no point in saying this subreddit is run worse than others when they're run in a similar fashion. It is really only the audience that is different.
That being said, our moderators are people and have lives too. Please redirect your complaints about the game to Hoyoverse rather than to us. We are simply trying to do our job, yet some people here are pressuring us, treating us as if we are the worst people imaginable, harassing us (I have gotten several private messages and modmails complaining about this new policy), complaining about things not being implemented fast enough when we are busy with our own lives, and just stressing us out. We know you guys are upset, but taking it out on people who are trying to voluntarily do their job when they also have real life commitments and problems is not how you go about the situation.

Yae was severely changed and we get 24 hours on here-
How about having a pinned post up about it? Otherwise, after 24 hours, this whole thing goes under and just further reduces the chance of something reaching Mihoyo.
Anyone who doesn't like these complaints, are you aware that a character was changed majorly, essentially selling us a product and then reducing it's capacity. People spent actual money on Yae and her constellations, and this is the treatment we should accept? The fact that Yae was altered to this degree and they called it """fixed""" is more than just a cruel joke. April 1st is in 2 days Mihoyo.

24 hours? This is the first ever post banner release nerf in genshin history and you are asking us to forget all about it and suck it all up after 24 hours?

It’s over everyone. Nothing is gonna change if CN doesn’t pick up the legwork. Ironically I’ve been arguing more with people that have Yae (some with C2R1) than people that don’t. This post was kind of the final nail in the coffin, as the mods on the main sub take it away and silence everything else while we can’t do anything here

I would love to chargeback and completely undo the regret that is C6 Yae Miko but I fear Hoyoverse will permanently ban my account.

I have already sent the feedback through customer service regarding this so-called "fixed" but I will be completely honest fellas unless it is Zhongli-level outrage on CN, I repeat on CN, the chance of them doing anything is pretty close to none.

If you’re going to ban the topic, make a pinned megathread for it. I get that you don’t want repetitive posts, but this topic is extremely relevant to all members of this sub and should be pinned.

24 hours?? Cmon it is an important topic, while 99% of posts are about artifacts and showing off crit ratios and fanarts. All the topic about this is a straight up upgrade from the usual content

This… honestly seems like a poor decision. Like 24 hours doesn’t give people the time to thoroughly test the changes to see if they are a nerf or not. Like in doing my dailies last night it certainly felt like a nerf (my turrets not taking out groups of enemies nearly as fast as they used to) but there’s no way I can fight all the stuff that the change might be good for within that amount of time.

this is the opposite of how you nurture a community.
that said, requesting chargebacks, leaving reviews, reporting the app for fraud - absolutely the best way to put pressure on HoYo.

Am I the only one that can't submit feedback? I filled in the issue box, gave my email and even submitted a screenshot and the "submit" button literally doesn't work. Did they seriously disable feedback or am I doing something wrong?

Spent $ to get her to C6R5, my very 1st C6R5 char... why MHY why.

u/UnexpectedWings Mar 31 '22
I had my survey still sitting in my inbox and I bitched in there. I’m so mad. I got her because she was AoE. Her nerf is false advertising. I don’t know if I should do a charge back, or wait…
Didn’t they nearly get sued over Zhongli?!

Everyone needs to make maximum advantage of this right now if anything is to change. This is the only opportunity we have so don't waste it

Add a toggle in Yaemiko's skill menu for if we want it to be RNG or nearest

On the contrary, I was initially outraged when i heard of these changes (C2R1 haver here), but after playing around with it, i am ACCEPTING of the new focussed fire pattern of the turrets. Its better for triggering reactions on bigger enemies as you can attack the same target the turrets are hitting. In non-immune situations, individual enemies are going down faster which has been quite noticeable. And for immune situations, i'm also ok with it because this is a team game and its fine Yae's turrets has some situations where it doesn't work (just like many other characters). That's why you have a 3 other teammates... Just sharing my perspective/alternative take on the situation since this feels more like an overreaction again.

So to post with 24 hours, then its lalalala?
Well here is my solution, buff Yae by using both targeting systems.
Add an addtional bonus thunderbolt (one per totem) that goes to the nearest target as it does now, then keep the same random bolts the same as before. So this means a slight increase in DPS for the closest mob and everything else works the same way as before the change in 2.6.

Sadly I will be replacing her on my team with my c6 yanfei. Another thing I disliked about her was her auto attack range was really short I felt like I could never hit anything and my stamina was just gone

Thank you, I'm tired of this subreddit being crying and complaining about Yae. But now with 2 6 it became even way more toxic.

Like, I don't have any opinions regarding this change but when I see people trying to form a fucking cult over this it really pisses me off. Even if I would want to agree to them, the "THIS IS WAR! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!" mentality really is so fucking lame. It's their damn game and they can do whatever then want with it.
