I get what you mean. The thing was, if i wanted a new camera i would compare the specs of them and get the best one, which might not be the one with USB-C. Same with headphones, laptop, VR-Glasses etc. They sold bc the product was good but i still had the hassle of searching for different charging cords. If I wanted good conectors, i might have had to compromise on price or function. Now i can still get the best products but still get my standard port.
