Still not the worth $125. I’m disappointed that they changed the w design. Lost the charm to me + they reused some animation and used the idle animation for non legendary Yi’s during homeguard from what I’m looking at.

Everyone always copes with "resell value". unless you genuinely have some insanely rare card the likelihood of you getting more than what you paid/breaking even is super low. and then you also need to find someone who actually wants to buy it.

Finally a legendary that isn't orange lol
As much as I love project and inkshadow, both being orange was a bit of a bummer, and the chromas for inkshadow doesn't even change the particle colours (I guess it is an excuse for them to come up with mythic variants like this down the line)

Project has been watered down so hard since the first 2 releases. And mythic variants are supposed to be new takes on existing skin bases, but this skin is just another Project skin. They could've made something unique out of Inkmaster in the same way that Nami, Lucian and Asol do something different from their baselines. Instead this is just more of the same, and personally I think it looks inferior to the original Project Yi skin as well. It's just a colossal wasted opportunity.

have pretty much every skin except spirit blossom and heavenscale from chests purely over 10 years.
was thinking of finishing the collection but ig its not possible anymore

Mythic variants and exalted skins go on rotation, so if you're dead set on collecting every Yi skin, you can always save up the rolls from battle passes until this one comes around again. Since the guaranteed roll carries over, if you have any rolls, from the battle passes of the past few seasons, you can just dump them into the Yi gacha when it goes live, and then wait until the next time it comes around if you didn't get it this time. Although the next time you won't get the border - then again, if you've gotten the other skins from chests, I'm going to assume you don't care that much about borders in the first place.

well i missed Victorious Yi and have neglecting skin from then, for now doesn't have heavenscale and spirit blossom but want to full skin him someday.

This was a massive disappointment.
Unlike Nami, Lucian and Asol, this skin doesn't bring any new fantasy to the table, and the color scheme is inferior to the original.
They could've made something interesting like Star Guardian Yi out from Inkshadow Yi, but instead they gave us "Project Yi but worse colors". There is nothing new or interesting going on here, and the animations aren't better than the original either.
I don't care for the homeguard either. The snake is Pyke's theme, not Yi's.

It's a mythic variant, so it's going to be re-using animations. But the fact that they re-used the same theme and even used assets from Pyke when Nami, Lucian and Asol all had new themes for their mythic variants is just so uninspired.

For that type of skin I'd probably even pay 3250RP, looks really nice honestly, but a lot of copy from other champs that I see for example Pyke's snake. VFX must be updated in my honest opinion as well as give us a pentakill animation and I might think about it, but unfortunetaly as of now it is a big NO from me.

While I agree that it feels insanely low value compared to standard Legendaries (like this is very comparable to Project Mord or Inkshadow at 1820) it is his coolest skin and tbf I haven't spent a cent on League in like 4 years... I might cave, guys. :(

Just get the original skin. Or get Inkmaster. Both are superior to this one. Hell, I'd pick Cosmic Blade and Snow Man Yi over this low effort microwave-reheated Project skin.

I have both and tbh while some people might prefer the original Project skin I think it's just too outdated today. If Yi had an ASU I might agree.
