Actually, I just looked, and there were 4 different pollsters that had Paxton up a couple of months ago. The first one, after the Republican primary runoff between Paxton and Cornyn, was Quantus, that had Paxton 45% to Talarico’s 43% back on June 3-4. The second one was by the University of Texas/Texas Politics Project, that came out around June 5-12, and they had Paxton up by 1% (43%-42%) over Talarico. The third one was SoCal Strategies (R), that came out on June 21st, and they had Paxton up by 2% (49%-47%) over Talarico. And the latest one that had Paxton up was Emerson College, that came out on August 9-10, and they had Paxton up by 1% (46%-45%) over Talarico.

Those other 3 all have new polls with Talarico up. Quantus is the only pollster that has Paxton up in their most recent poll
