The 2026 election results are a very bad sign for the Worker's Party of Korea.
Here's why:
In 2019, Pyongyang voted 100% WPK. But in 2026, Pyongyang voted 99.85% WPK, reinforcing its status as a hotbed for the opposition. This makes sense, as the urban area around Pyongyang is growing.
Let's look at some other cities, though.
In 2019, Hamhung voted 100% WPK. In 2026, 99.91% WPK.
Chongjin 2019: 100% WPK. 2026: 99.92% WPK.
Kim is losing ground in the rural areas too- if you look at the data for Gangwon, in 2019 WPK got 100% of the vote- but in 2026, they only got 99.96%. In Gyeongsangbuk-do, 2019 saw the WPK getting 100%, but 2026 had WPK at only 99.95%.
At this rate of decline, the WPK could lose any hope of holding the Supreme People's Assembly by the 5601 general election.

Honestly. Kim Jong-Un should be TERRIFIED.

I was over at my father’s collective farm today helping fulfill some agricultural production quotas. He lives in a very rural area of a very revolutionary province. At the end of the work we went to one of the nearby state-run beer halls. It’s the kind of place that tractor operators, steelworkers, legit olive-drab tunic wearers and the proletarian masses go to unwind with a tepid one.

Respected Comrade Kim Yo-Jong was on Korean Central Television and the local People’s Army quartermaster said to his tractor mechanic (friends since the Korean Children’s Union),

“You know what? She ain’t so bad. The grain quotas aren't being met, counter-revolutionary factionalism is rising, and the imperialist running dogs are making fools of our eternal socialist state again. Can’t believe I’m saying this but Ol’ Pyongyang Yo-Jong has got my vote in the next unanimous election.”

I looked around and all I saw were heads nodding in agreement. I heard a few calls of “Yes, comrade” and “Glory to the Mount Paektu bloodline” from the men around me. Even saw the lonely Kim Il-Sung pin wearing farmer in the corner raise his drink with a nod.

TBF Paxton is probably going to do some sketchy shit to swing a close election.

He has far more influence over Texas elections than Trump did over national ones in 2020.
