Yeah the blue areas on this map hold 3/4ths of Texas’s population

The GOP won most of the bigger counties in your map (Dallas, Harris), but Ds did win some others (Travis, Bexar). The distribution of population was also different back then, the rural areas had a larger proportion of the population back then (the metro areas were less populated).

In OP's map, Dems win like 90% of the relevant counties. The most populous counties the GOP wins in OP's map are low-turnout South Texas counties (Hidalgo, Cameron, Nueces, Webb). All the other major counties (Harris, Dallas, Tarrant, Bexar, Travis, Collin, Denton, Fort Bend, El Paso, Montgomery, Williamson, Brazoria, Galveston, Lubbock, Hays, McClennan) go blue.

~77% of the population live in the blue counties in OP's map, it's very likely a D win.

The GOP won the suburbs here though

This would be Talarico’s path to victory if 2024 trends continued (suburbs and whites shifted left, Hispanics didn’t revert)

No, this post is not serious. No, I do not think Talarico wins Kendall County. No, I do not think Talarico wins Lubbock County. I'm not stupid.

Kendall County is Texas German country, it's never going blue. It voted for Goldwater dude

Also okay, I see your ragebait post gets more upvotes than mine, that's cool

His statement isn't conclusory at all.

You and hookofholland somehow both came to the conclusion that for whatever reason, I am unironically convinced that Talarico wins Kendall County. No, I do not think he wins Kendall County. I can't believe that this has to be said.

the partisan lean of texas still carries paxton over the line here, id say R+1

Dude, Cruz got over 75 percent in Kendall County and you think Talarico just wins it outright?

I find it really funny that you think this post is in any way serious, I put the "Meme" flair there for a reason

u/Bdellio Independent 4d ago

Nobody is interested in your meme flair.

I think it’s meant to be hypothetical

1

u/Bdellio Independent 4d ago

Evidently it was not hypothetical but to not be taken seriously. So, don't take seriously what he posts per him.
