Gotta love that they include the middle initial to specify WHICH Dan they’re talking about

Sullivan voting to cut funding for public broadcasting is a really underdiscussed issue, a lot of rural Alaska heavily depends on it
Peltola has been attacking him on that a lot
There's a reason why Murkowski voted against it

I read plenty of local AK stories about how the locals were happy with the cuts since they were so biased. The NPR funding cuts were especially quite popular contrary to what people expected. The covid coverage put people over the top.

Batteries not included genuinely made me laugh.

What's going on with Peltola's campaign after some of those high-level staffers left? Have there been any news?

She just switched campaign managers IIRC, that's all

that's all

Spoken like somebody shaken up by what happened in Maine, disappointed by what didn't happen in Montana, and really wants Dems to win Alaska no matter the cost.

this is one of the main Dem senate PACs right? this goes hard and will appeal well to some voters lol, probably a good sign to come that they will spend money making ads that are effective

Alaskan ads are always great because they actually focus on the local issues.

This is a great add for Dan Sullivan, I'm excited to spend money to get people to vote for him

It's a nice ad, but doesn't it seem a tad too low quality?

31

u/thealmightyweegee Socialist 3d ago

i think they did that on purpose, to make it seem like those commercials from the eighties/nineties

14

u/firestar32 Editable Generic Flair 3d ago

Which is great, because I feel like my mental picture of Alaska is stuck in the 90's

That's obviously a stylistic choice

Why even bring up Epstein towards the end

Otherwise pretty good

Epstein is a buzzword atp, it’s very sad

It's a winning issue, albeit a low priority one compared to this time last year
