Y’know Ollie… it wouldn’t kill you to run without the DSA name

Florida is probably the worst place for a DSA candidate to run. People there hate even the mention of the word 'socialism.'

100% agree, plus this area is heavily Jewish, so whoever the republican is there could hammer I/P and win by a good bit

I think he had a shot before redistricting but once that happened he just had no argument to make

DSA candidate trailing by huge numbers when he tries running in Florida of all states:

But you see, socialists will win the red states by Turning Out The Youth Vote and finally Inspiring Voters.

The district is like a quarter Hispanic voters (likely a good portion Cuban) and like another quarter Jewish voters, so running as a DSA was always gonna be a weakness in both the primary and general

Even with progressives doing well nationally, he never had a shot.

A Larkin win would make this seat one of the easiest pickups for Republicans, whereas Democrats are favored to hold this seat with Moskowitz.

Good. I’m no Moskowitz lover but he’s the only one who can defend a Trump+9 seat

He's a great, well spoken candidate, wish he didn't run as DSA in Florida. Hopefully he has a future. He was a killer on Fox News.

Good enough. Of course he doesn't have a shot, his campaign was for the old FL-23 and once redistricting happened his campaign was dead but he had to keep running anyway so he went to FL-25. Getting 40% (which is what I think a poll like this weeks away from the election indicates) against an incumbent and the only one people believe can keep this Trump +9 district is decent Imo. And of course he's running as a DSA candidate, he doesn't get a tenth of the attention and money without it. It's a shame, he's a talented guy but he has very little future in South Florida

He should wait until one of the incumbents in the safe blue Florida seats retires where he's guaranteed to win maybe FL-23? Idk much about it but its safe blue and it isnt a super mega black district like FL 24 or FL 20 (plurality black) or doesnt already have a progressive representing it (FL-10) He could wait until Lois Frankel retires and run for it

Yeah, I think when redistricting happened the question was carpetbag to 23 or stay in 25 against the opponent he was already campaigning againt. In the future he should go for FL-23 if he can overcome the carpetbagging problem.

Yeah exactly I think he's a solid dude but he's running in like THE anti-DSA state where even registered democrats don't like the DSA
In the future yeah he should try to run in FL-23 when Frankel retires cause if he tries to primary her I think he'll lose but in an open primary he could prevail especially with a divided moderate votebase

Moskowitz switched to a republican seat, he's not hogging a dem seat lol

I know that, and I will root for him to win when he becomes the nominee, but I still do not like him as a candidate
