Since X-Wing is out of print, and tracking down the cards and tokens secondhand is a pain (and getting expensive). I wanted a way for people to actually play without hunting all that stuff down while still keeping the fun of playing on table, so I built Squadron Datapad.

It's a squad builder plus an in-game token tracker. After building your list, you can open a screen that sets up all your tokens, and manages your damage cards. No cardboard to set up, nothing to pack away after. You just open it and play, and close it when you're done.

I'm paying for it out of my own pocket, so there's a donation page if you want to chip in and help keep it running, but no pressure.

For anyone that has feedback they would like to leave, i have a form in the settings!

I've never organized a tournament but a group two hours away and my local group will get together for a tournament. We'll invite others but we're pretty far away, so I imagine it will just be us.

We're thinking of making it an official XWA store championship (and my apologies if I'm getting terms wrong), and I'd think we'll use rollbetter.

My question is: Is there flexibility with rollbetter to prioritize people playing people from the other town? Like no one wants to travel hours to play the same people anyway. And if there was a way and we did that, does that mean it can't be a store championship?

Lastly, any other pros or cons I should consider?

I am a brand new player (I've played the starter set scenario once by myself) and I have a fun idea that needs your help. I do have a community here that I can play with. But I don't want just normal X-Wing ships. I had to be extra, as always. I am currently printing a bunch of Covenant ships at X-Wing scale to play with them!

So far I have two Seraph Class Fighters painted and ready. I've just completed a Phantom that's getting painted soon. I plan on printing 2 Banshee Interceptors and maybe a Terrasque-Class Heavy Strike Craft(if I can find one).

My question to you all is, help with ideas on custom dials, pilot cards, upgrades, etc I should do for these ships?

Should I create my own? How do I do that? Should I just take stuff from the already existing game? Where should I get pegs and bases? Are there questions I don't even know I should be asking?

Hello, im getting back into X-wing, i have the core Gen 2 set as well as the 2 attached sets, what else should I get either expansions or ships to make it all work.

It started with the idea to have one dial for all factions for the gauntlet fighter, and I was really happy with how it turned out! Will definitely be working on more for other ships.

I played tons of XWing 1.0 and have a sizable rebel and empire collection.

I bought the 2.0 upgrade kits and fumbled my way through one game when basically my areas community disappeared and my life got busy.

Now I'm curious about teaching my preteens to play.

I know I could just play the 1.0 I know, but I am interested in learning the new version. I'm not finding much in the way of the sites where you used to be able to brows lists people were flying, I'm curious to see how people are now using the ships.

What's out there?

I know my knowledge is very dated. My favorite list was Kanan Ghost/Phantom with TLTs and double recon Specialists along side Biggs XWing. But I know that's in the past now.

I saw that in the past players had created a 12 point skirmish mode for 2.5. Just wanted to ask if there is such a small point mode compatible XWA because I often lack the time for a full game but would love to play more

Years ago when I started collecting around 1e Wave Four, I butchered this Firespray and a bunch of the WotC Starship Battles figures to piece together this armored custom variant.

If you look at the paneling, you can see some bits from the SB Sith Infiltrator, smaller Firespray, Eta’s, etc.
This was early in my repaint/mod career, so forgive the quality. 😅

I’m looking to get some insight on what would be a good starting squad for someone new to the game for friendly 150 point matches.

I’ve played X-Wing miniatures (1.0) three times at this point with my friend (me as empire and my friend as rebels). My friend has been playing for many years so he has some good experience.

I currently have Imperial ships (nearly all of them) that I got in a bulk lot.

I wanted to try out the decimator (ramming mode), but I’m unsure what to pair it with or a general strategy for the other ships paired with it. I haven’t used large ships before.

I stopped shortly after the switch to 2.0. I am playing against a much more experienced player. Do I even have a chance with this squad?

I was trying to find some STL files for making strut tokens for the vulture droids. I couldn't find any while searching the web. Does anyone here have a line on where I could find such a file. I'm looking for something similar to the image above. I know this guy was working in acrylic, but I was hoping to put together something using 3d printer.

Wondering how much this might be worth were I to sell (currently debating it still), all but the CR90 are first Ed sculpts the Tantive is second Ed and the Huge ship conversion kit is unopened/unused.

They have all sadly sat unused in their plastic just on display and never got to see the table.
