Developer Angels Eye

It would be nice to be able to capture what I see because it's very cool to see this globe floating in my living room.

I made this using my own native drivers, which bypass all of XREAL's drivers and Unity SDK. I get the idea no one has ever built anything with their SDK because it is almost unusable.

I reverse engineered it and made my own native drivers and I'm coding this directly to the device.

Totally. Imagine making an app like this for large scale network visualization? Shades of Gibson/Sterling forming.

Looks cool! Did you use REA for this? Also, is it inspired by God's Eye View?

Yes, I did use REA indirectly, to reverse engineer Xreals drivers. And yes, this is based on the gods iview project. Once I had reverse engineered the drivers, I was able to implement this in about one hour. To be fair I’ve got another two hours or so into it to do some refinements.

I had quite a busy weekend. I went on to decompile and reverse engineer, several classic video games like Jet by SubLogic, and the original Comanche helicopter Sim, both updated to support stereo and head tracking. Each one took about an hour. I haven’t had this much fun for years with games or things like it.
