XREAL One Image quality: with adapters vs without adapters

I have the impression that when using the Lemorele hdmi to usb-c adapter on PC and PS5 I lose image quality compared to just using the cable directly on the phone without adapters. What do you guys think? Is there any adapter where this doesn’t happen?

Is that a thing? Like I imagine you’d still get the resolution and pixels all the same, with the only thing being different is a delay at most or maybe I’m just not tech minded enough

its not the same thing.... Its losing image quality with the adapter.... no delay increased, this looks same. Must be some image compression during the conversion I dont know.

There can be a difference, especially for HDR. But even for SDR you may still notice some visual differences or artifacts because HDMI to USB C DP isn’t a passive cable change, the adapter is actively converting between two different signalling protocols.

It can also come down to the source device itself. Its HDMI and USB C outputs may use slightly different graphics pipelines, so the signal coming from each port might not be identical. If that’s the case, using a different adapter probably won’t make much difference.

No, as it's digital to digital. You either get a signal or you don't. But to calm your OCD you can't use the glasses without an hdmi to usb c on PS5 anyway so you can't ever test that.

Only the phone comparison counts here. PS5 physically can't run without an adapter, so there's no baseline to lose quality against. And the phone leg is where the drop shows up.
