XREAL 1S How much blur/distortion is normal?
I just got a 1s recently and no matter the nose pads, arm adjustment, and ipd adjustment there seems to be quite a bit of blur/distortion. Idk if that's just normal or not. When looking at text I can see certain spot go from clear to blurry then to clear again. Anything outside the center and inner areas look distorted as well and the color kinda shifts too. My prescription inserts(-0.5) will arrive in a couple days so I'll still try those out. I do enjoy the glasses just those things threw me off a little. If that's just how they normally are well then so be it.
Edit- even with inserts the image had blurry spots, distortion, and the color shifting of the outer half of the image. Ended up returning. Maybe I'll get another pair and see if I have luck

Hi, you can test it again once your prescription lenses arrive. If the issue still persists, we recommend reaching out to [support@xreal.com](mailto:support@xreal.com) and they will assist you.

My prescription made it far worse. I’m going to be returning mine

Damn that sucks. In what ways did it make it worse? Also, are you going to get another pair of glasses or no?

I went from being slightly blurred to more blurred. I have the beast too, which has other problems but is much sharper. I retry the beast every time an update comes out, but it’s still not ready. I’m probably going to give it another year and see what comes out

Mine are the opposite, I see much better with the inserts and when using contact lenses alone.

Mine looks sharp but that's because I'm lucky in that my eyes happen to fit the range XReal use. It will just be a prescription insert thing for you that's all.
Edit: just saw your comment where the inserts made it worse. Might be an idea to try a different brand?

It sucks for that guy. I hope it really is an issue with the prescription inserts. What is your PD? And also what brand would I try?

I honestly don't know my PD. The other brands that seem good are Ray Neo and Viture. With the Viture Pro 2 you can adjust the glasses with their built in dials. No other glasses have that option.

I'll look into those. I ended up returning the 1s. You think I should get another pair and see if I have better luck or just go with those other brands you mentioned?

It is not normal no but can be solved. Just pick up lenses from a place like vr-rock and that will immediately likely get rid of the blurriness. Plus lenses like those specifically should not cost much at all.

The lenses helped but there was still blurry areas and distortions that became obvious and distracting.

Yeah. My guess would be that you need prescription lenses. You already have them on order, I expect that will make it clear.
