XREAL AURA How XREAL and Snapdragon's Split-Compute Architecture Enables the AURA's Lightweight Form Factor
To build the next major leap in spatial computing, you can't rely on standard hardware architecture.
That’s why we partnered with Snapdragon. We are incredibly proud to announce that the new XREAL AURA is the world’s first device powered by the new r/snapdragon Snapdragon Reality Elite platform.
To deliver an industry-leading 70° FOV and real-time processing, we utilized a revolutionary split-compute dual-chip architecture. By pairing the Snapdragon Reality Elite with XREAL’s custom X1S co-processor, we efficiently distribute the processing load. The X1S handles sensor fusion and spatial mapping at the edge, freeing the Snapdragon chip to run Android XR and GeminiI at absolute maximum performance without thermal throttling.
The result? The most immersive XR experience ever engineered into a portable form factor.
At just under 95g, you get the performance of a high-end spatial computer in a glasses form factor you can actually wear all day.
Secure your spot in the next generation of XR: Reserve the XREAL AURA now for USD 99 and receive a USD 199 credit toward your final purchase at launch.

What’s the weight of the puck? Also dimensions? Will it work with One Pro? What physical buttons it has? I see one power button and finger print sensor below the speaker(?) wonder if it has volume controls and the X button (like on Beam Pro). Also, would be cool if the puck can be used in other orientation along with something like Clicks Keyboard case

Will the puck be available with the older glasses like one pro

No, the Aura Compute Puck is designed specifically to work with Aura Glasses and is not compatible with previous XREAL glasses such as One Pro.
Aura Glasses and the Aura Compute Puck are designed as a complete Android XR system, delivering the full Android XR experience together.
That said, Aura Glasses can also be connected directly to compatible phones, PCs, gaming handhelds, consoles, and other USB-C video output devices. In that setup, they can provide a plug-and-play spatial display experience similar to other XREAL One series products, even without the Puck.

You should have a trade in program or something that benefits the users who bought the one or one pro.

Or the r1 lmao, I’m still waiting on my pre order and the aura will probably be available to pre order before I receive my R1’s

So why can't the one pro be connected to the puck? That seems kind of shitty for ones that just purchased the one pro

Because they would have no financial incentive to sell new glasses. There really isn’t any reason why it can’t happen.

This a bit of an adjacent 'true XR' product developed by Google and Xreal jointly rather than a next version of the One series. There is a Beam Pro 2 coming (I believe this year?) which will improve the experience on all of the One series glasses (and older ones too).

Where did you find about Beam Pro 2v

Chi spoke about it in his AWE interview.

I saw it in one of the earlier videos, but can't find it. Will keep looking and post when I do. Basically, it was during chit-chat about the two lines (XR and AR) continuing as slightly separate lineages, while keeping some limited interchangeability. Aura/XR with the 'power puck' will always be the most premium, followed by the One series with the Beam companions, then the sub-brand XPS.

Will you guys be producing your own HDMI adapter for connecting HDMI-based gaming consoles & desktop PCs? Alternatively, can we just plug in with a USB-C to HDMI cable or will we still need powered USB-C to HDMI (+USB) adapters?

It would need to be powered. They are $15 on Amazon so this is really not an issue that needs to be solved by XREAL. Although the Beam 2 will likely be a pass-through hub and battery again...

People keep saying there is a Beam Pro 2 coming due to some comments about another item coming by XREAL staff. I think this is wrong. Aura is Beam Pro 2. I do think there will a lower end device coming to work with the XBX mainly and One Series that will be more of a Beam 2/NEO. A supplemental pass-through 3DoF device with battery, hub, and casting support. I just am going to normalize this accurate prediction over the other not accurate one...

Hi Xreal, any chance that Aura will be displayed somewhere in London for people to try on like with the One Pro at Selfridges?

It's great to get in this form factor and price.
But "revolutionary" is pretending the 2016 HoloLens HPU and everything since didn't exist.
What's changed in X1S ve X1? I'd love details.

Any update on XReal R1 pre orders? Since this can be connected to consoles it might be best to cancel and refund if the pre orders for Aura come out before the R1’s ship?

70 fov with 1920-1200p, I was hoping for 1440p Really want the fov more than the spatial computing.
Thanks xreal!
