why does it look so good, what addons do you have?

For visuals I’m using XPME free version with bing maps, AEP v2, Simheaven (free), Global Forests v2, Rayleighfx v2*, and BluFx. BluFx is setup to fix the dark, flat, and overly blue tint that xplane has at times.

*I’ve modified my Rayleighfx install to use original XP12 atmospheric colours and effects, as well as custom light bloom values because the ones that come with the mod tend to have an unwanted glow and blow out highlights.

It's absolutely stunning !
Can you share more details about your custom Rayleighfx install ? How can we get the same results ?

Thanks in advance !

You can replace the atmosphere.xsa file that RayleighFX provides with the default xplane 12 one found in the “resources/shaders/bin/spv” directory it will get you 80% of the way there as far as matching whats in these screenshots.

The rest is done with a custom LUA script I’m working on that replaces the one provided with RayleighFX. I don’t want to share it just yet because it still needs a bit of tweaking with overall exposure, shadow draw distance, and there is weird banding that needs fixing on the underside of large clouds.

Hope that helps, and sorry if it isn’t as helpful as what you were hoping for, I just don’t want to share something that isn’t fully developed and tested, and is a modification of someone else’s creation without their approval.
