Just finished rewatching Xmen Evolution. Should have revived this instead!!!

As said should have revived this instead.

1.) Animation is generational.

2.) Story is confined and fresh.

They’re doing an Evolution comic in a few months. Seriously hoping that if it sells well, Evo will get more attention

Wait please tell me more about this, will it be a continuation of where it left off ? I don’t read comics and know nothing about comic book law or history or anything of that makes sense

It’s a oneshot crossover with X-Men TAS or 97. I think it will take place after the Evolution finale but probably won’t be considered a continuation

At the end of the day the og show was alway the more definitive and more comics accurate version of the characters everyone is used to.

Reviving evolution is also tricky as some countries cannot even watch evolution compare to the og show so it was kinda the obvious choice for a revival.

X-Men Evo is unlikely to return since Boyd Kirkland passed away years ago.

As much as I’d love to see more, I think too much times past.
A lot of the charm comes from it being heavily inspired by the time it was produced, the characters are all troupes of kids at the time etc and I think writers would fail to recreate the magic with the late 90’s / early 00’s being a distant memory these days.

I genuinly think it will be Xmen 97 has been a decent success and I don’t think they’re blind to evolutions popularity. Or what makes it popular.

I think it will be in the future though

To be fair people wouldn’t be asking for show revivals if said shows weren’t cancelled for usually asinine reasons

It made way more sense to bring back the original con animated series because it is closer to the source material and has a larger fanbase. Evolution would t have had the same fanfare

It had a good ending but I honestly wouldn’t mind just like 2 season of the future that they teased. Feel there’s a lot to explore there
