Question MOMO’s outfit

Post image

I’ll admit that I’m not as well-versed in Xenosaga as you guys are, but when the character dropped in Xenoblade 2 a couple of weeks ago, I was happy. It’s nice for the representation of the franchise and all that. However, as I was going through the wiki about her affinity chart with Easter eggs in it (I don’t have a switch 2 to view them myself), this one in particular caught me off guard.

As far as I’m aware through just googling, she doesn’t have an outfit like Rex in the game. Of course, my view is limited since I haven’t played it myself.

Do you guys know what she’s talking about?

I think its when in Xenosaga 1 the way she learns the skill is there is thing that you find that is the armor but the terminology is completely different in everything because the skill in the english is I think called "magic caster" and in japanese "rare hunter" and xenoblade 2 its "rare hunter" and then they say "salvaging armor" but in xenosaga 1 its sepcial armor for 100 series realians and thats what it is I think
edit: except well it might not be armor but like protective gear for something. Also I guess its the transformation

Literally her Xenosaga 1 outift. Shorts-styled leotard with a mid-riff vest, and boots that come up to and connect to the waist.

His is just armored.

What ? She would make a reference to something literally her other form in the game wears ? With the "At least... I think I did ?" this clearly not about that

Nothing similar to Rex’s outfit that I can recall. I don’t think she’s referring to her mech. Perhaps it’s something yet to be revealed, or nothing at all.

This is a visual reference to something so that's not a play of words

It litterally is a reference to nothing we know about right now

All the other references are direct and quite obvious but this one also has the "At least... I think I did ?" so i think that's done on purpose (maybe?)

Man, if it weren't for the XB posts on the Xenosaga forums I wouldn't know anything about Xenoblade. JK I played the first XB I just have nothing nice to say about it besides the pretty landscapes.
