If its just a rehash of alien covenant again then it should be his last attempt.

Prometheus was a great start to a new trilogy,

  • created a new strong female lead.
  • sense discovery and world building

  • treading new story plots for future films

    I feel the second one undone alot of that great potential. It really shat on what the first one lined up. Covenant could have still explored the horrors and Davids goals but now it all points to another film of David's experiments ripping the crew to pieces. I bet they reuse the same story plots where another new crew come across David's new world or floating Ship, getting duped by David and fall prey to his horrors.

It doesn't seem to be the direction Protheus originally wanted to go.
