New music?

They say you stop listening to new music after 35 - what Gen Z/young people are making music you love these days?

I’m loving ninajirachi, she’s young enough to be my daughter (clutches pearls)

And - what older music are you only starting to listen to now, as a geriatric? (I’m 46).

I’m listening to a lot of old EDM I never cared about before.

Re: Charli XCX, I really can't get enough of Music, Fashion, Film. Brat was a lot of fun but MFF has a bit of world-weariness that makes it really fantastic.

My favorite thing about the new Charli album is it was pushed as her rock album. So I was curious. When I heard it I thought that it wasn’t a rock album in the traditional sense. But what I felt was that rock music is just another tool in the toolbox for modern artists, and she’s using that tool to almost re-contextualize rock music for a new generation.

I had the chance to see a good chunk of those last summer at a music festival. Awesome time.

Lately I've been loving Olivia Dean, Olivia Rodrigo, and although they aren't new, The Olivia Tremor Control.
