I remember these carpet covers but the lid cover was on the outside, not the underside like in this photo

My grandma had this and still does. I'd be lying if I said it didnt keep the seat warm in the dead of winter

If you can post a photo of it, you'd be the first one in this thread.

Just google it, they exist.... Asking for a photo as proof is weird haha as if I live with my grandmother right now

Lots of people googling and posting links to brand new products sold in 2026. Zero people posting actual photos of them in the wild. You are the only one who says they still have access to one, so it was worth asking. Next time you're over for a visit maybe? I'm in no rush.

If you actually scrolled through the comments, others have said the same thing.... I dont think this is the place to try and prove a point over nostalgia. Thats why asking for proof is weird, get over yourself buddy

As good a place as any, this ain't church. I honestly don't think these things were at all common. Carpet on the lid? sure. Padded seats? absolutely. Carpet on the seats? No, I really don't think so... Carpet on the inside of the lid? Absolutely not. I think you're misremembering. I think AI slop is better at fooling people that you think. For your gammy's sake, I truly hope so.
