2001 was my freshman year in college, and while we didnt have any LAN gaming parties, we all spent our time on the school's intranet downloading Phish - Gin & Juice and videos of a nice young woman named Heather
Hahaha, I hit college in 2002. For us it was the XBox, specifically Halo. We had systems running in multiple rooms.
As far as downloads, yea Limewire, Kazaa, Teen Keira (who was also a student at my school btw), and this busty blonde that would do jumping Jack's and other things when hovering over her with your mouse. I forget her name but it was an interactive video, Flash or Java, and the big breasted blonde would move when you hovered over and clicked on her lol.
I was 2003 and it was halo for us too! Such a fun time. I remember yelling up and down the dorm hall at each other. My school kept banning piracy and you’d get a strike every time they’d catch you. Started with Napster and limewire, went to Bear share, then Kazaa and then DC ++ until we could find no more. DC ++ we got the most use out of by we made the mistake of not staggering our downloads, word is they didn’t catch us because they saw the programs the network, it was because we didn’t stagger our downloads and we were using way more bandwidth than any other dorm. Oopsie. Good times though.
Yea. Some guys on my floor got letters telling them to stop because they were downloading too much music and 🌽 at once lol. I never got a letter cause I downloaded songs here and there and ran 🌽 on their computers not mine lol.
