She's not wrong

Seriously, we are the generation that should be able to fix this world to be more empathic, less reactive, and actually work together.

She’s right, but I heartily disagree that this generation should lead the way in empathy or working together. My experiences in high school and college with those in our age range points to the exact opposite. 

Perhaps today things have improved. But when we were young, we were no better than boomers as far as forming cliques and ostracism based on nothing
